New news is good news, right?

I'm stopping by to let you all know that staff have had discussions with a number of wonderful players who are going to invest some of their own time to assist staff in projects and testing to patch up a whole host of details and balance issues for the game. Over the next few months staff will be working closely with these players to achieve the following goals:

Forum cleanup
Website cleanup
Rule patchup
Changelog plan
Marketing strategy

I've been put in charge of keeping you all updated on the progress we're making each month and many of you will find I'm around ingame building various things in preparation for all the changes, so say hi if you see me.

Oh and yes pickle for thought:
Kraken, as many of you know, has been promoted ingame to Seer. He is also now in charge of the forums and their upkeep. So be nice to our new Forum Admin!

Btw, is the thread that Jiz created on how to use OBS with Wine still around? Couldn't find it sadly.

So, its been a month since this has been posted and I just wanna know:


Has anything been done to move us forward to getting new members?!


Back in 2009 we were promised that account creation would be fixed and that we'd be getting new players to join us, but that goal still has not been reached (aside from account creation). It's getting kind of old now hearing the same old promises continue on this shard without anything getting resolved. For example, I created a thread over a week ago and posted in Bob's original thread about issues with the box (i.e. lag), but I still have not seen you (Echo) nor Bob (shocker) do anything to solve this. It's getting difficult at times to play because the lag spikes for me now last about a minute and yet nothing has been done to look into it.

Another thing is that it's been 5 years and we still are not even 10% of the way into getting new members into the community because we keep saying we're going to do something, but never actually do anything to promote the re-growth of this game. This thread (sadly to say) is an example of this. I am getting really frustrated that threads like these are getting made over and over again and not even half of the promises made in them being fulfilled (heck, not even one thing sometimes). When are we going to realize that we need to stick to fixing the MAJOR problems of the shard so that we can start advertising, instead of adding new things/fixing small bugs (we can add/deal with those later).

This shard could be an amazing shard to play on, but we can't seem to get people to stay focused on this and help out.

Please, can someone update us on what's currently happening and stop bullshitting us?! Let's stop making promises and just do it already.

This has been posted in so many way shape and forms. And I know where you are coming from. But it doesn't do any good. We have all tried to get bob in gear. Its just not going to happen. All we can do as players is play and try to enjoy the game. I would like to see the shard as it once was. But kinda gave up on it if nothing has been done in 5-7 year. probley isn't going to happen. Its really sad. But atm with the lag cant even really play. But who knows maybe something will happen. Give it another 5-7 years.

After what happened today at bank while I was training I complete agree with you, Hank.

Sadly, this shard is reached it's max players from now on.

Im still curious to know who was chosen for those positions he said was going to help. I asked so many people not 1 person said they were chosen. im starting to think that was made up.
