To give people more info to help sort our problem,

When we Double click the Shortcut it opens the obsidian window but just stays grey then brings up a box saying Ultima Online client has encountered a problem and needs to close, Havnt a clue whats stopping it opening. We Rebooted the computer as it was only running in safe mode for some strange reason, And just copyed the files from program files onto a memory stick then reinstalled. It basically done exactly the same so i tryed to download it from the download site but still doing the same. Would be much appreciated if someone could help me with this as i get broadband tomorrow and would love to log on and start pvping

I had the same issue with Windows 2000 @ work. Re-installs would not fix it. Re-install of .net would not fix it. Registry entries checked out. Other Ultima Online shards worked fine.

Eventually I just gave up and installed Ubuntu Linux on it.

make sure ya run the program as administrator.
Ultima is an old program, and so it sometimes ask for resources that newer versions of windows have locked down, so it requires admin level access

I run all UO stuff as administrator and I set the compatibility to win 2000.
This works for everything UO except axis.

update to service pack 3, and is ur comp a brand like dell or something?
because i know some dell tops dont even have admin access for the users... its blocked so only a dell employee can get into processes and shizz.. which is gay... why pay for a comp you cant use?
