i dont get the fact that you folks choose to keep it almost an hour long and not even talk about obsidian. :?

Is the goal to talk about obsidan(and let the people that play know whats up yo), or to get as many downloads and talk about wahtever?

nice idea, but too far out field, the only obsi stuff i heard was about the cd's.

maybe make it less frequent but always talk about obsi, if we needed drama we turn on jerry springer.

so thoughts, off topic, releases less, more obsi talk plz.

They average about 10-30 megs.

Also, if no one has noticed, the TAGS ARE WRONG for the 4th podcast episode.
It says it's episode 3. :P

Wow Abib aren't we taking things a little too seriously?

The podcast is for entertainment value in a more general level not to be uber geeks and do nothing but talk about Obsidian. It gives you a chance to hear the staff and get a feeling how we are in real life and things we might be up to. Sometimes the focus totally on Obsidian when there is alot going on and other times it's more off topic like this last one.

I keep begging players to be a part of our podcasts so we can interview them and hence stay on topic but everyone seems radio shy. I guess either step up or shut up.

Honestly if people downloaded it, listened to it and were mildly entertained throughouot the entire hour we did our job. And it seems like we're doing that quite well.

If you guys want us talking more about Obsidian stuff why don't you run some events or do something that is worth talking about. We are releasing these things weekly and we kinda run outta material pretty quick when all we can talk about is everyone banksitting.

If you could have where people called rather than used headsets, I could.

I rather like that it's off topic. It does give a sense of how you are and that you have a life outside of this game. I'd rather have it be like this than STRICTLY OBSIDIAN.

P.S. no more alcohol + members in the podcast.

P.P.S. more of Blinkers doing What's his face from Family Guy. The guy who likes meg's dad. Mort Goldman or something.

I really enjoyed listening to it. Hope you really enjoyed your water Vic :P
I'd like to see some more Obsidian related topics in the podcast but I enjoy listening to it in it's current state too. A mixture of both would be totally awesome.

Uhm, No.

I realize its for entertainment value and realized that after the 2nd podcast came about, was merely asking a question that i thought needed to be brought up.

I didnt say it wasnt amusing, because sure it was amusing but well the foremost point was entirely missed. you know, obsidian. If you dont have very much to talk about obsidian wise, i dont see the point in making another 50 mins segment, and then talking about how the download numbers went up. But barely talking about the game that the number (podcast) went up for.

i uno just what i thought, its not me being serious as heck, its me thinking out loud.

Abib, it will vary greatly, as some weeks we don't have much to talk about for Obsidian, while others we might only talk about Obsidian. When I get my crap together over here and start scripting/rescripting things there will be tons to talk about.

I think the balance between some Obs news and general faffing is a good thing as long as it dont swing too far either way. It makes it a lot more casual and less geeky. also the general chat generates some pretty funny stories from personal situations. Staff have been a bit mysterious here for years and the podcasts have changed that taking things to another level. Bringing players into them would be another snazzy addition as you dont always get the full picture from a paperdoll and text.

How about adding some features to the cast like Leagues where the weeks best trader, noob trainer or best pker are mentioned. might generate some freindly competition

As for alcohol and podcasts, i like it. Alcohol is like the colour black, it goes well with everything :)
