Since Thass has a thread going for newer games on PC, I thought I would start a thread for older games that rock and have alot of replay value. Console or PC. Just some off the top of my head, I'm sure there's alot more out there that people have never heard of before.

Forgot couple of BB's favs Diablo 2 with expansion and Nox, both alot of fun LAN games. BB likes Red Alert, and StarCraft, but I never really could get into the techtrees.

I had this really funny bot for CS that worked with the cheat-protection.

I joined a map with like 20v20, and then set it to a highly sensitive head-shooting aimbot, that would shoot through walls. I just walked round the map like a machine, punctuating my headshots with the odd 'lol', until I got banned

Oh, and shooting the server admin in the head with a sniper rifle when he is camping in tunnels is a sure fire way to give yourself away.

As for old games, I've played millions I used to love, examples:

Racing: Need for Speed series, TOCA, Rally Championship
RPG: Baldurs Gate series, Icewind Dale series, Diablo 1+2
Adventure: Lucasarts eg Day of the Tentacle, Sam+Max; Broken Sword etc
Puzzle: Puzzle games suck, use a gameboy emulator
Platform: Jazz Jackrabbit, Blackthorne
FPS: Doom 1,2; Heretic, Hexen; Quake 1,2; Duke Nukem 3D; UT, HL, Deus Ex; Rainbow 6, Descent 1+2, Mechwarrior 2
Strategy: C&C/RA, SimCity, Warcraft 2, Heroes of Might and Magic, Theme Hospital, Myth, Battlezone

I've played pretty much all the decent PC games made over the years. My problem was that this want because I didn played games alot, I just got bored very quickly

Rainbow six thats a classic Rogue Spear too but diablo 2 is a legend and without that dumb expansion which sucked.

@ Terek - Yes Monkey Island 1-3 are some of my favorite games ever...

Never got sucked into the Diablo or Everquest craze... had friends that played but I got hooked on Phantasy Star Online instead.
