well, i have noticed the bags you get from monsters have been proper shit. i killed a titan,cyclops king and 5 ettin lords and didnt get any weps all i got was wooden shields and ringmail. also me and afew others kill black gate daemons and we got a halbert of ruin WTF is wrong with that shit, if you kill something with that much str and power you should at least get something good. does this happen to anyone else? hopefully something can be changed here....thank you

you cant expect a vanq to drop everytime you kill a monster.
i know you remember the days when ettin lords, cyclops kings, and titans didnt always drop a bag, id say they've already made it a lot easier to get stuff just by doing that. in fact imo too easy.

balrons have always dropped randomly, there is a chance you can get 3 bags off a single kill just like there is a chance you can get that ruin drop. thats pretty cool imo. makes it sweet when you get the good drops.

i dont understand why you guys complain about this so much. the challenge is what makes the shard so good.

To be honest drizzy and you know i love you, i think he is right. Went hunting for 3 days, got 33 drops (most guaranteed) and the maximum weapon i got was a +3 viking swords of force, and armour was platemail arms of fortification, considering I lost 5 pcs of armour a bow and a hammerpick, doesnt really make it a "challenge" makes it kinda stupid to hunt.

Duck, Lost, and I spent some time hunting yesterday. After some ogre lords, countless drakes, and a few dragons we left with enough gold and gems to replace armor and regs, but 0 magic weapons.

That’s just not right...I would at least think the dragons would drop something better then a bronze shield of fort....

But it was fun watching duck yell "KOMOKAZI!!!" as he ran into the flame of a big brown pissed off dragon.

Last hunt I remember doing with diablo phoenix and gala I think. Well we went into hyloth cleared almost the whole place killed a whole lot and I mean alot like atleast 8 blackgates, even more balrons, and deamons we left with maybe 5 weps and a invuln platemail of legs. Only one wep was a reg power longsword the rest were ruin though bones were nice eventhough I didn't get any Can't hunt with a group these days

Wow.. I hunt and I get ATLEAST 2-3 weapons each time..

I feel sorry for you guys come hunt with me! (but I like.. totally get all the swords weapons..)

It sounds to me that the people not getting a great loot:effort ratio are those hunting solo or in pairs.

It was stated repeatedly some time ago that the loot system was tweaked to favour hunting in a group. If you think about it, greater sized group = less effort + less cost to hunt + more bags per hour. Of course, the loot needs to be shared... but you will find that 3-4 hunting together against tougher monsters will end up with alot more gold/loot each than 1-2 in the same timeframe.

I do agree, though, that the loot tables perhaps need a bit of modification to remove (or reduce the chances of) 'useless' items. It has been like this as long as I can remember - since I used to hunt in groups and kill a dragon just to get a kite shield of invulnerability. However, the person to petition this to would probably be CV - I'll ask him about it when I can. We certainly don't want to be giving away countless vanqs, but hunting should certainly be fun and financially worthwhile rather than frustrating.

On a final note though, I spent months and months hunting every monster I could as well as pvping. I never got a lightning weapon. I got a Viking Sword of Vanq of Fire once. That's it... the rest were just ordinary drops.

I went hunting with Impe on lvl 3 hyloth and came back with a viking vanq 2 powers and some other shit. We werent even there for long.

And I dont think Dragons always drop good loot because of the way you have to kill them..
