This is just another public service announcement:

Have you ever logged into obsidian only to have the screen never load your character?
Ever got stuck on "loading"?

This is due to a bug in how the client processes items on load. This can be due to logging into a high population area, or by recalling into the area. Both trigger the area to loaded en masse, which the client cannot do with items over 250. This causes the client to forget what it's doing and not pick it up again, so you will be stuck there till doomsday.

How to Fix: Do NOT have more then 200 items within a 32x32 tile sector.

Even the most heavily populated areas w/ houses usually don't top 75, so this isn't usually a problem. Where this becomes a problems is when people seperate individual ores for smelting, 50 ore is fine, 1200 is NOT. Or other individual items, like fish steaks.

There are also some houses who's decor goes way over limit, such as elleb's old house, with an item count of 872. Instacrash.

What to do if you get caught in such an area:

Log in with another character.
Page a staff.
Direct the staff with how to get to the area in question so they can move your character.
Make sure to tell the staff NOT TO .teleport or .go to the area, as that will cause them to CRASH AS WELL.
Staff will move your character out and you can resume play as normal. Also they will usually fix the problem.

Note: depending on which staff this is, that could result in a nice and easy "fix" of .nuke on the offending house/area, so try to prevent this from happening by staying under item count.

but we should be more responsible with the item counts.

we all know that some houses arent placed on flat enough land or whatever and stuff can go under them. so be careful when stacking things on the ground. and dont just leave shit lying around like a slob.

also do not use programs and just afk stack tons and tons of stuff. you are not only hurting yourself but anyone else who goes in that area will be stuck there as well.

also i noticed the house that caused the crash zone this time around has quite a few cannon balls tied down outside the house as well. there is a trash can right beside it, might be a good idea to stick em in there before staff sees the illegal cannon balls.
