Right, first off:

This is not hostile. This is in no means addressed to all players (only a select few).

It has been bothering me of late that (increasingly) a select few members of the playerbase have been openly arguing with/ questioning the conduct of moderators on the forum. We are getting alot of whinging 'omg you broke the rules, omg thats a flame, stfu you dont know what you're on about' etc.

This is not acceptable.

We may have some new moderators, but everyone has to start somewhere and I feel that they are doing a great job so far.

You must also remember that we as staff are human too... and whilst we strive to remain professional, as with any professional environment sometimes we may engage in a little lighthearted banter and a few individuals seem incapable of taking this with a pinch of salt.

Personally, I do not need to be lectured as to the rules - I know them back to front, thanks. The current moderator system was started by myself and Cybervic and developed by myself (with a little help from GM Hydro, of course) into the team that you see before you today.

BOTTOM LINE
Myself and the moderator team work hard, for free, to maintain these forums in a reasonable state for the enjoyment of all of you.

If you have a problem with the conduct of any moderator (myself included) then please have the maturity to PM me IMMEDIATELY with a link and an explanation as to why you have taken exception to what has been said.

This means that your concerns are listened to, but we are not having public disagreements between staff and players. This kind of preschool attitude will not be tolerated.

If you have a legitimate complaint, then I am more than happy to read a PM from you and discuss the issue with the relevant staff member in a relaxed and mature way. If your complaint is about my behaviour, then those of you who know me will know that I will act upon this fully and apologise if needs be.

I hope you all consider this reasonable.
