OK, it has been suggested by a few players that we might have a 'Flame Forum' on the Obsidian boards.

This would of course be a place where all hostilities can be vented so that those with a grudge can get it out of their systems - and maybe this would

a) be quite fun in a controlled environment, and

b) help to reduce the amount of threads in other sections of the forum that disentegrate into flame wars that have no relevance to the topic

However, my concern is whether this would turn out to be as 'fun' in practise at it appears to be on paper. It could potentially be a disaster that simply furthers hostility on the shard (something we DO NOT want) and also causes some people to be offended/targeted or even bullied.

Similarly, I am certainly not sure if this is something that Broadband would approve of - although I am sure he would see the potentially funny side. As such any decision to create such a forum would require some careful discussion between myself and the higher staff. Also, I would most definitely be drafting up some rules for boundaries that should not be crossed (racial discrimination etc).

Anyway - if you have an opinion please vote on the poll.

But racial remarks would be fun as part of the flame like I stated before make aware that players who enter conceided to the fact that they will be taunted by anything to get them angry hence a flame. I mean come on what's the point if I can't call RmX a **i*h A** J**. Flame anything is allowed cept viruses and airing out account info etc anything that doesn't affect the shard just players feelings but wateva rules you set I guess I'll abide by but I was merely thinking this will be like anything can slide Pics that ashes and co are famous for posting anything that has a funny point but maybe Im different cuz I barely get offended by anything except fat women taking dumps while they eat cuz that right there down out right is wrong....

ashes i am with u 100% on this one, god squad i love that shiz, forums are censcored like a mutha funka, but sit a brit bank for an hour and u will hear more flames and cuss words than u will see in a month on the forums. I like the idea flames are fun, and what could happen? if its in a flame forum who would take it to heart anyway just a place where u could speak semi-freely is what i wquld like

I've seen Flame Forums in action before....and usually they work. I would recommend having a few responsible players moderate them so none of the threads get out of hand.

I would personally be all for this, but it concerns me more than a little bit that we have so many people against it.

If it were up to me I would not make a section like this unless it had a huge majority vote for it.

But of course I have no say in anything cause I r not as seckzee as Thass.
