I wanted to do the same, but felt I didn't even know where to begin.
Affliction was a good friend of mine, we both lived in British Columbia, we both shared the same passion for Obsidian, and we both, as Duck so nicely put it.. "think weed is god's gift to man"
We used to talk over MSN all the time, he was one of those guys I would talk to, even if it weren't Obsidian related. I have nothin but the best thoughts for Affliction, and hope that his family will be able to cope with this.
This truely is a sad day for Obsidian, and I hope EVERYONE will be sending their thoughts and prayers to Aff and his family.. he deserves it.

f*** man I'm no good at these sort of things, I just got to know him over the past few months on obs and started to talk to him on msn abit.
He will be missed for sure, I will personally miss him, I wish his family all the best at this tragic time.

A tragedy definitely, my thoughts are with his family at this time too. Someone paged about this recently, I wasn't sure if there was truth behind it but now I know that there unfortunately is

A few of us in IRC thought it would be appropriate to make his house permanent and put a statue of his chars inside them for all to view.
This is a first (as far as I know) in Obsidian history to lose someone IRL, and it means even more because it was someone who was a friend of mine.
If you have any objections, by all means post them, but I really don't see the harm..

We also thought it would be nice to have some sort of perma memorial in ice isle mines where he spent a lot of his time.

I've known him for a few years now
Truly a sad day. My condolences to his family. I'm all for setting up a memorial to him in the game somehow.
This is the first time we have had to deal with something like this in the game, and setting aside a small area to remember him is the least we can do.
Ashes, I know you and him were close, I feel for ya man.

I agree with this 100%, a permanent memorial would be nice.
As Ashes seems to have known him best I feel that his suggestion is something that would be fitting.
Someone please post coords to his house to aid in this.
...and if anyone by any chance has his account login details please PM me and I will see if there is any way for a GM to stone the character there so that he will remain here as long as Obsidian does.
I also like the idea of a memorial where he used to spend his time most.
This is really sad, I will do whatever I can to help.

I really, don't know what to say about Aff. I never really got to know him that well. I know he was always a smartass, which made him fit in really well with me. I hope that his family finds strength in eachother, and comfort.

The statue is a good idea. Although I barely knew him, I will miss him. I assume this was an automobile accident? Hope you have found a grand heavenly mmorpg to play up there Affliction, RIP.
