Hi all,

I've spoke to BB and he agrees that it would be nice to do something along these lines. He said we could either make his house permanent (should be doable) OR have a small memorial somewhere created especially by a GM. This would most likely be at one of the shrines. Unfortunately it is not possible to make one of his characters a statue as was suggested previously.

I thought I would put this up as a poll so that his friends could vote for what they think would be better.

How about having the memorial at hind meadow? near the water fall.

Its in cove so no PKing and its easy for everyone to find.
Just and idea.

i say this is an ideal place. and why only have 1 when we can have both?
he deserves it. he was 1 of the koolest ppl on the shard i dont think any 1 had a bad word to say about him...

If there is a memorial made, I'd like to do it - with Ashes and other people close to him - and I'll ask BB if he wants to help too.

If we decide to go the way of a memorial as opposed to the house then then we can start debating the exact location then...

Why can't we have his house made pernament and have a memorial for him?
He put effort into his houses him and fancy and I wouldn't want to see that whole area go to waste and a memorial should be made also the hinds mellow was a good idea. House sign and a memorial is my vote.

A memorial would be better in a peaceful place like hind, I mined with him in ice for a long time and I wouldn't like a statue in my face at the bank.Some where Peaceful where I could visit alone would be great.

I would like to see his house made permanent, and rather then a memorial to him at hind meadows, I'd like to see a dedication. It wouldn't have to be much. Maybe just a Sign or banner in his mine that reads something like: "This mine is dedicated to the memory of Affliction". Maybe we can name the mine in his memory. "Stoned Mine"? Or "Affliction's Ridge"? Something like that....but more creative.

I would like to see a memorial to him, but I don’t think he went to hind meadows all that often. IMHO a memorial should be at a place that was personal to him...at a place people will remember him for....at a place he would want to be remembered at.

When its taking place i would like to be there if possible at the service to say goodbye to Will

I think he will be looking down from heaven with a smile on his face knowing that we all loved him and we are missing him lots ..but by doing this shows he will never be forgotton

I appreciate it that you would wait on me to be there. He was close to me, and I was the one who presented the idea. I just hope that either way, something truely gets done, and isn't just another line on the "To do" list of Obsidian.

If it were up to me, I'd make his house perma, add a brightly colored plaque and if at all possible, make an NPC who looks like one of his characters, and leave it in his house (I realize this would require some help from BB, but it's not too hard of work, infact, I could probably walk a GM through it if they want..)

When I spoke to BB he was 100% up for doing something, but at the same time we agreed it was best not to go overboard.

I like the idea of preserving his house and then having a small plaque somewhere (maybe at his favourite mine) in dedication of him.

I'll speak to BB about this, and yes I would most definitely like Ashes there and anyone else who would like to attend.

I didn't know him too well but I would be happy to hold a small service at the laying of the plaque so that people can say their farewells ingame. Do you think this would be a nice idea?

Just so you know, I've just seen that GM Blinkers has already created a memorial to Affliction!

Leave his house completely open for show, and have no PKing in it.
