I just got back from the datacenter where I hooked up the new Obsidian server and everything seems to be running great!

The new machine is actually an upgrade to the old one so you might be suprised to find quicker save times and overall better performance. The fact it also isn't overrun with spyware/viruses like the old machine should also make a world of difference.

The fresh server also means our website is 100% operational again. The server status page is back and the account center and creating new accounts works again too! We still need to fix a huge bug in the character stats system and unfortunately Cybervic is the only one who can git'r'done. So until he gets the time it's going to remain offline.

While migrating the server I also dived into the code a bit and fixed several massive exploits that existed when your character was weighed down and certain circumstances. This is going to be tweaked over the week, but you'll find that when your character is too weighed down you lose alot of abilities. Just empty your pack out and you should be good to go.
