I'd have to say this is the most sensible solution. Rolling the shard back for 2-4 days would ruin it for alot of the new players, so just trying to sort Barney's characters will be the best way. I'll get ahold of BB or another admin to look into the situation and then we'll sort it from there. It's really a very generous offer from all of you though, and Barney is lucky to be playing with every one of you.

On a side note though, this kind of thing should illustrate the need for you all to keep your account names and passwords hard to guess. Using a pet name or a name of a family member as a password isn't very secure at all and anyone that knows the person may guess the password. If you keep the original password you are emailed, and never tell anyone else the password, then I HIGHLY doubt you will ever have any problems.

As for the situation at hand, staff will try to sort it as soon as possible.

I'm not sure but I'll go look. I think the houses he owned should still be there. With his items in them. So if he could get a char remade a gm could link him back to the houses. I know this would not help with the stuff his chars had on or in the back. But it's a start. Just wanted to state this.
