Since my other thread was completely derailed and the point of this subject is completely different than the original intent of the other post, I thought I'd start a new thread on this particular subject. I was wondering if I could get the community of Obsidian's help with the "Frequently Asked Questions" section of my new site:
http://www.victorlaurence.com/content/category/3/7/25/
Some ideas are "What are your game inspirations", "Who are your mentors","What is your favorite game genre", "In that genre, what is your favorite game", etc.
Post your ideas here so the community can feed off eachother's ideas so I can get a nice long list.

I would suggest adding "what projects have you done" and adding a link to your old and or current projects. In my experience, stuff like that is necessary even though it seems silly.

What made you decide on game development for a career?
If you could name any game that epitomises good game development for you, what game would it be - and why?
In an established industry, with many bland and unoriginal titles released amongst the good ones... what ideas and approaches do you hope to bring in your game developement ideas that will help you stand out from the crowd?
What is your favourite game of all time, and why?
It would be natural to assume that you would be making the kind of games you would like to play yourself. What genre(s) do you see yourself working on in the future, and why?
If you could name any well-known developer that you respect the most, who would it be, and why? What would you consider to be their best work?
Is there any particular genre you don't see yourself working on?
What existing programming skills do you have?
What experience do you have in game development / content creation so far?
.....
You probably think some of those suck, but its a start. I'll let you know if I think of more bro.

Thanks Thass, some of those made me really think. I'll get some of those up on my site this weekend with good answers.
