So i wasnt even really afk i was watching a movie with just my health bar showing.. Some staff who i cant even tell who it was because they Never Even Said a word, came and Put me in GM jail.. They didnt use a macro stone on me.. They didnt say one word which i have a screenshot of my journal here to prove..


Thing is, there have been few staff on the time ive been here about two weeks.. literally days go by without seeing one. Now ive done alot here to get new players and keep em spent hours of my time doin not fun things to make the shard more fun.. but i see not this amount of concern from staff. They seem to only want to log on and jail some players get mad and then leave. Jail me for 1 hour jail or something. But GM jail when i wasnt even afk which costs my mabey my 2 days left of poofing isnt right.. Please some staff help me soon...

I see afk players who only get the stone and it should be that way.. jailing gm jail really new players is only going to make them leave cause there doesnt look like there is any way out!! They have no idea whats going on.. There isnt even anyone to tell em being afk is wrong exept players and in cove there are few of us trying to teach the new players just how to play!

However a word to the wise: If you're going to use macro programs to raise your skills make sure you're watching the entire screen. If you only had your health bar showing then you would have missed any attempts a staff member may have/may not have made to communicate with you.

New Players WILL leave the shard If you GM Jail Them. They Are Not Registered On These Forums. 1 Hour Jail After Youve Talked To Them And Theyve Not Responded Seems Appropriate. I Hope sincerely That You Agree!

You do not make up your own rules. You are out of jail. Just enjoy that and do not make the same mistake again.

To clarify what constitutes unnattended macroing.

Yes, AFK means Away From Keyboard. HOWEVER, we consider that if you are using a macro while not paying attention to the game, then this is tantamount to the same thing.

Simply logging in and setting up the macro while you type a document, watch a movie etc means that you are not properly in attendance of your character.

If a staff member tries to talk to you ingame while you are macroing, and you are unable to respond in a timely manner, then you are considered AFK macroing. It doesnt matter if you are watching a movie or taking a dump, the result is EXACTLY the same.

Trying to find loopholes or grey areas to whinge about will merely inflame staff further.

In short:

If you stop 'playing' the game to either leave the PC or concentrate on other tasks, and you are going to be unable to respond to staff prompts ingame, then stop the macroing. UOLoop is legal but only if that macroing is attended. Punishments vary it is true, but you can generally expect a harsher punishment from a GM particularly if this is happening often - which it is.
