nah, ive gained from skeleton mages in brit GY. i know i posted this somewhere before. it just takes some time. but it does gain now and then. it just gains goofy.

I was just talking about my character in his case when he went hunting. I was out for 2 hours hunting, went to shrines, and the maze and in those two hours I got no resist gains. Later on when I got another person to cast on me resist went up within seconds so I don't know.

On the other hand though at least I know my character is not stuck like I thought he was.. he has raised in resist so I really don't care how fast resist raises as long as I can raise it. Two years my resist never raised so that's why I made this thread because I thought something was wrong with my character. Though my character has raised in it now, so don't really have anything more to say. I guess I was just really unlucky or I just really sucked .

Well i have gm parry on my pvm and 98 resist and i have not parried a spell nor resisted 1 since beta. And melee blows that are parried do the same amount of damage as the ones that aren't. So either my char is f***** or parry and resist are, and since it is happening to everyone else i would say that it is not my char.

I am GM parry and I parry some hits, but never spells. I have never resisted a spell since beta started nor get a gain.

But on the hits that you parry is the damage less? or the same as the other hits?

but I noticed the same thing belg, i would take full damage on all my parried attacks,
I parry things OK at a great rate. but it just doesn't do anything
monster hits for 50 HP, with my 2 handed wep, then hits anther 45 or 50 when i parry it lmao

on my char karmine i have roughly 50-51% parry. my parry ratio on mobs is like 1:6 (50% parry skill my ass!).....and i never take full damage.....in fact i dont think ive ever seen any damage. i know you guys are having problems with it so i try to keep a watchful eye to see if its just you.....and i think it is only you guys. i parry a lot of spells.....or they do nothing to me.....its weird.

im not sure if its because my char is old (and wasnt used since like 2004-2005 until i started playing again this month) or what. as far as i know....i thought when you parried an attack....the damage was taken out of your stamina instead.....and if you dont have the stamina it takes out of your health (because you dont have the energy to withstand the blow).
