Don't know if something about this subject was posted elsewhere.
As a crafter, i depend a lot on crafting items to sell to vendors to make money. However; earlier this morning, i grabbed all of my iron ingots and went to the blacksmith shop. 1gp per ingot. Fair enough. Lets make some stuff. 12 ingots to make plate gloves. 12gp offered by the vendor to buy each pair. so a waste of time. Platemail, 25 ingots to make, and only 22gp offered by the vendor. I thought finished products were supposed to be worth more than raw material!!! Will this change or is it what it is?

Try selling armor and weapons to a provisioner (shops with a torch on the sign) instead; their purchasing prices of player made goods are generally significantly higher than those of blacksmiths. In the off chance that this is a bug, well then oops.

Thanks llama for the bug report.
Someone want to post the average amount of iron ore they dig up in an hour of mining?
Dun care if it's gm or normal.
Lets assume you can craft the ore you dig up in 40 minutes into items in 20 minutes(if you're doing armor it probably takes closer to 2 minutes).
So, take the amount of ore you dig up in 40 minutes, calculate what items you can make, then the price those sell for.
That'll give you a rough amount of gold per hour.
Whether it's in balance depends on that, you can't really declare balance looking at individual items/etc.
So yeah, people start posting numbers and lets figure it out. If the vendor prices needs adjusting lets do it.

no matter how you loook at it though, there will be more work/time in crafting and selling the item and less pay, than just selling material...

yes but they're set low for a reason. I need data before i can raise them up.
I'd rather it start low and get tweaked up, than start high and throw things out of wack that way before they get tweaked down.
Besides, i've learned that if things are too low, players post about it.
If it's too high, they consider it a good deal and never bother saying anything.
So yeah, lets get some numbers out here so we can put the prices where htey should be

but after a while bob, they will just stop bothering to go sell the material,
like me i find it easier and more effiecent to trash them/ stash them and keep training, then i can make up the money + 1/2 by going out hunting or fishing..
