Well Last night i could hold 1k ignots now i can barely hold 250? Is it me or did the weight just multiply by 4. If so can it be changed back.

Intentional change to put ingots in line with other craftable materials.
Before ingots were of such a low comparable weight that they cause a weight creation on most crafted items, which is rather silly.

Maybe, just maybe...

The crafted items that increased in weight compared to the resources were too heavy.

My smith isn't that strong. He was able to carry 500 ingots with no problem, now he can't carry 150. :(

100 str will yield 420 max weight. Unless your naked with an empty pack you can't carry 200 ingots. Are we really meant to run back to our houses to store ingots every 25-30 tiles mined, or will we need to have miners with 200+ str.?

Wait, 200 str might not be enough. That is an ingot equivilant of a 50 str miner prior to the adjustment.

You mine ore not ingots, which already had such a high weight.
So your miner analogy doesn't work so well.

And i looked into that, but it's pretty much any item made(80%+ of the ones i looked at) with ingots had such a "high" weight, so it was ingots that were out of balance.

Yes, I do mine ore, not ingots.

But I mine in a cave that has a forge and smelt those ores into ingots before I leave the mine. This accomplishes 2 things.

1. I can't buy a forge for the house, so smelting in the mine makes more sense than storing a chest full of ores and transporting back to a forge to smelt. Yes, I need to transport to a forge to make anything, But who wants to dig through a chest with a dozen or more piles of ore, that are too heavy to pick up, and look for a particular color?

2. Ingots are lighter than ore and more efficient to transport.
Or did that change too?

If I have to transport resources, my chars are limited carrying the max weight of any stage in the process.

Next point
I have not seen a weight reduction in crafting the ingots into armor. It takes 118 ingots to make a full set of plate. That is 336 stones toward the weight capacity. Yeah, this affects a smith. But does anyone other than me remember what it was like to start a new char? Think about the weight penalty of newbs who would wear full armor, if they could carry it.

I question the weight change for ingots and mention that I smelt into ingots before leaving the mine...

...and now the forge has been removed.

Nice...

wasn't me who removed the forge, so i can't rule on whether it was a legit removal or not.
I do know some of the forged mines were NOT intentional, and were done through an abuse of forge placement.
Similar bugs allowed people to carry miniforges in their packs.

Can we get the staff who removed the forge to comment on it?

As to your original statement, the forge in mine is not what most people have, so is not what we're balancing to, so don't think the ingot change is aimed at miners.
