Several people have complained that healing is borderline rediculous in PvP and makes fights last a little too long.

So i've been thinking and i've come up with two options. If people have other options then suggest em, but these are the two I could manage to find a balance in.

Either:
A. Reduce the damage healed by bandages and spells if the person was attacked by a player in the last 30 seconds.
Right now this reduction looks like it would be 20-40%.

B. Increase the timer for bandages by 2 seconds and the casting time for the spell by 20% if the person was attacked by a player in the last 30 seconds. The reason the two are different is because spell time increase = more chance to fizzle, so it is less directly than the bandage increase.

So, thoughts? Too little, too much, got a better idea?
These chances shouldn't affect PvM much, since most people aren't hit by other players while PvMing

actually, i see that bandage healing should NOT have any changes and its balanced(bandages) ,because warriors who use parrying and sword will have 3 extra seconds so if they got 140 dex they will have 7 seconds.
(+) the healing Fails are alot.


But for magery healing spells, yeh i think they should have some reduces at their healing damage.. because mage heal spell is fast and hard to fizzle.

so ya i agree with the heal spell not bandage:)

I think the change needs be in anatomy. I think if it were put back to how i remember it in T3A. Anatomy above 60% would cure poison only and not heal but gaurantee cure. This would lower healing and make poison run a longer course. Perhaps implement another perk to gm anat (increased dmg). Since anat is mainly a warrior skill i think mage healing should be lowered aswell as u said

I think anatomy is fine how it is. If its made to the way you invision it, there will be to much poison spam and will be back to offbalanced. I dont like any of the ideas bob said. But if i were to pick one Id say Letter A. Because if its letter B with an increased timer it would be very bad for players that fail specialy if they fail twice in a row.

lol.. this isnt about crashing, its about healing.
All in all i really dont like this idea. Extra timer would be horrible IMO. But then again so would healing less dmg.
What about characters like mine? Venomous is an Ice Elf and capped at 50 healing, if he had even more healing nerfs i might as well say goodbye to PvP and just turn him PvM again.

I think its fine the way it is, but if change is inevitable i will try to think of something.

P.S. Who complained about healing? It doesnt need fixing, does anyone here really think healing is too powerful? Don't change things that need to be changed!!!!

err well 2nd option no good...would make straight mages even more powerful against warriors. i have a 5 sec delay on healing most o the time...so a 20% loss to my healing is 1 sec and not 2 sec so i would lose 40 % compared to 20 for mages.

even if its long its more fair now than it has been in for a while. sometimes ppl need to just find new thing to do new stadegies. or maybe wait till after all skills are implemented. pl will be possibly taking different skills.

and option 1 if done by % can be just as bad..all depends on chars dex.

yeh as i said.. bandages heal is really good at the way it is.
if bob thinks that pvp fights stay too long.. actually warriors doesn't, but mages dont die easily cus of there protections spells and their healing spells.

so ya i ONLY agree if mages heal spell got reduced in damage to get balanced.

i thought that ppl complained that so in my opinion i dont think warriors are that hard to kill.. so if they got lowered they would get fuked.

but for mages i wouldnt get out balance if they got the heal spell damage reduced.. and actually.. i like the way it is now and dont like any of this changes.

Alright, that's about what i figured, just wanted to point out that lots of people bitch about stuff till i go to fix it, then all of the sudden it "doesn't need nerfing".
I say this specifically because i've heard over 40% of the people who replied here state that it's "impossible to kill anyone", and "people heal too fast", and "fights take forever", and "fights only last till someone runs out of inventory", to name a few quotes.
Suddenly those same people are like "no it's fine".

If you're gonna bitch about something, do it because it needs it, not because you want something to bitch about something.
Likewise, if you bitch about something, don't suddenly change your mind when it's gonna get fixed just to avoid change.

I will also point out that even though i said i wanted to nerf BOTH SIDES, several of you turned it into "nerf mages" or "nerf warriors". You can freaking tell from your previous posts who would say what. I'm not kidding, look at anyone in this thread who said such a thing, goto their name, click previous posts. You'll see a trend.
Regardless of how balanced anything is, people will want the other side nerfed, and will inject that feeling on any thread, whether it needs it or not.

Thread locked, i hope we learned something.
