Yeah, it's one of the for-fun projects i've been working on.
I've found 3 different ways to make them move faster, but each one has a drawback.
First way makes em attack you to follow, just looks kinda ugly but works
Second way involves teleportation but has issues with getting around no-pet barriers.
Third way involves forcing walks, which isugly as hell and causes them to "overshoot" sometimes.

I'm still looking for a "Good" way to do it.
So don't count on this going in anytime soon, but i'll find a way eventually, i just make no promises on when.

However a possible workaround:
Taming Kit - Item, buyable from npc for 500 gold, non-movable and non-newbified(drops on death, gotta get a new one).

Can temporarily store pets equal to (((taming-10)/20)+1) (1 at 0, 2 at 10, 5 at 90+).
Any pet stored in the kit for longer than 2 hours is deleted.

That's what I was thinking about when I had my 3 horses following me, something to store them in untill I reach my house. I like that =)

Sounds good! Saves room and allows for more animals to be tamed at once.

I really like the idea. However, it sort of nullifies my magery training up to the point where I can cast gate travel to transport animals around. My selfish reasoning deems that a certain level of magery should be required in order to be able to use such a tamer kit (storing animals in a kit in a backpack sounds magical to me unless the kit is like pokeballs, lol).

i only like this idea if it has a delay on how fast you can "pack" them. if your in a fight and run away from soeone with animals out, they shouldnt be able to get them to you that fast

1. Should only apply to taming and tamers in general
2. Can't be used while in war-mode or if one is being attacked or attacking
3. Delay in removing the animals needs to be placed

Anyone else have other ideas on how this box should opperate?

No I think magery should have some aspect to it.

Since we are placing huge animals in a small container it does scream magic. So I side with Llama.

Should not require magery.
Shrinks do not require alchy, and are permanent if you want them to be. If implemented as described, this kit is only temporary (2 hour max time).

Most pvp chars don't have taming skill, so the idea of someone using these to store alot of animals for pvp should not be an issue.

One limit that could be placed on these is to limit one to a pack. Limitting a gm tamer to 5 temporary slots would not be unreasonable.

Actually this could be used in PvP. A PvP mage is not limited in what skills he can choose. Still an issue.

What was wrong with all come? When they did move at a half decent pace that was really all you needed. Then for far distance there is gate travel.
