High end dex healing has really ruined the way pvp operates in my opinion. High dex should be because you want high archery damage and maybe a second or maybe two faster healing.
It shouldn't mean that at 180 dex you heal every two seconds - that's impossible to kill as another warrior or a mage really. Unless they get a couple of fails in a row and you get a lucky hit in.
Maybe a cap on how fast you can heal at say 140 dex? But damage and other bonuses still work with higher dex

I totally agree, most warriors these days are dexxers just so they can out heal anything.

this really takes away from variations on warriors. noone would ever go higher than 140 dex or whatever it was capped at, we already capped swing speed at 100 so all warrioirs would be same i think.

They can all be used for different things.
u can have 140 140 for more healing you could have 180 100 like people used to
160 120 you dnt have to be the same.
I personally would 160 120 pluz a dex pot and u will be like 160 140

I think there should be another benefit to dex then. maybe 140+ dex provides a little faster swinging?

Healing delay system:
------- Healing delay starts at 11 seconds.
----------- 1 second is added for every 20 magery skill
----------- 1 second is subtracted for every 20 dexterity
----------- 1 second is added for left hand and 2 seconds for right hand equips. 3 seconds is added for two-handed weapons.
-- Cross healing does not offer a lower delay.
-- Any delay below 2 seconds is set to 2 seconds
-- Hunger level adds to the delay
Formula:
-- 11.0 seconds + hunger level(3 second max for really hungry) + equipment(3 second max for both hands) - dex/20 + magery/20
-------- Delay is calculated down to .1 seconds (2 dex is .1 second removed from delay)
So....a warrior with 180 dex, no magic, is fully fed, and not holding a weapon or shield will have a 2 second delay. Add a shield and they are at 3 seconds...add a 1 handed weapon (or 2 handed without a shield) and they are 5 seconds.
I wonder if the correct time is being added for weapons...5 seconds is a long time between heals, especially if one of those heals fails.... either that or the warrior is just sitting there taking hits and healing...maybe he's using wrestling?

i was dexxer for a while there when t4a started and swing speeds were based on dex and we were overpowered. but if you gave caps on heal speeds, then there is no incentive to have a decent dex. yeah like you said diablo that would prolly be what everyone would do....everyone only needs 100 dex to get top swing speed, and you only need 140 to get top heal speed. so yeah there is 0 benifit to ever go higher than that dex. there has to be a give to dexxers if something on heal times changed.

Im a dexxer, and i dont think there is a problem, because i have max 100 str, so if i was ganked, those 2 people could just coordinate there hits, and id be dead. And i also wouldnt be much of a hard hitter
IF the dex healing is lowerd to 140, there needs to be something else that gives warrior a benfit beyond 140 to make them want to go that high.

and it seems pretty damned balanced to me..
giving warriors less heal time would over power them...
giving them more to balance out the dex to 140 would make warriors worst
so were stuck in the middle... because apparently its pretty balanced atm.... lol

Healing and dex are fine as they are. High dex means low str obviously. A mage can do a few spells and kill a dexer. From what I see nowadays dexers are using two handed polearms....meaning higher delay. One big hit can take half their health. I would leave it as is...if it is indeed working so that max is 2 seconds without a wep or w/e like said in a previous post.

A mage has 120 health thats 3 40+ hits and we are dead so it works both ways.

i think its balanced,
because ppl would like to have more str so they hit harder and to have more hp,
and ppl would like to have more dex to heal faster and with few str.
anyways its not very hard to kill a warrior with alot of dex.
if ur a mage, -str/-dex him spam poison on him and the once he fails he will be down.
