hello all! yesterday me and Nemo had a "brief" fight. he tried to wall me in at Vesper and failed... poor fellow. anyways, after I killed him, he stat rezd. according to Vic's rezkilling rules I am allowed to kill him again... which I did. I am questioning whether this should be allowed or not... seeing as it is technically a type of rez but also prevents looting when killed. if most of you decide that it should count as a rezkill then i'll gladly pay my jail time, and offer my apologies to Nemo. otherwise stop your bitching. love you Abib

Stat-rez is just like rezing at a near by ank coming back and looting the corpse before the PK is done looting it. It's a way for the player to use a the rez system to prevent looting that the PK has all rights to. Hence why it's completely in your right to kill again to get the loot you diserve.

I dont think thats allowed unless they start attacking you again. I voted no. The *only* reason I think a person would do a stat rez is because they have something that they really dont want to lose like lets say I'm wearing blackrock armor with about 5 vanqs on me. That would be the only time I would stat rez. Then the sec I did rez I would run and heal and get out of there.

Ok let's all look at the rules again:

2. No Reskilling - AKA Ressurection Killing. If a player dies and ressurects at a res ankh, you are not allowed to kill them again until they do one of five things:
A. Purposfully initiate a hostile action against you. For example if they still are in war mode from rezing and accidently punch you while naked this is not a purposeful hostile action. Name calling does not count.
B. Assist others who are hostile to you. As in healing someone pking you.
C. After fully looting their body they follow you away from the scene of the initial kill and harrass you.
D. You are still looting the body and they try to recover loot from the body. Once you are done looting they are free to loot their body even if you are still standing there.
E. The player uses the -1 rez option to prevent you from looting their corpse. This is pretty much the same thing as D. You are preventing the murderer from getting your loot so they have the right to kill you again.

Edit: For some odd reason this stupid filters on this forum changed E in Elephant to the number 2.

To sum it up me an BB have had long discussions over what is a rez kill and what is not and what is illegal PK'ing and what is not. This is why there have been a ton of rule revisions. It's everyone's jobs to review the rules and stop complaining if someone is following the rules and you are just mis-informed.

what a waste of a post....

i think that rule sucks in town because before in town ive been killed then gone and rezzed and killed again before ive reach my body (because they cant loot in town) and ive done this over and over before thye let me to my stuff
