 Post subject: Obsidian's "To-do" list

I thought of this idea as a way to centralize the posts of things you think need fixing...
try to list a reason why it should be fixed and no retarded posts, lets hope staff can take a look at this and observe from a players perspective what needs to be done, try anything to give staff a better view of whats wrong, maybe give examples or something...
keep it serious guys, this can prove helpful and it can improve this shard, put our numbers back up even,give ideas on how to advertise, anything u think needs fixing or improvement...dont let the shard die... :(

Ill start with my problem first:

-Reactive Armor on monsters is too ddamn strong, i have trouble killing elementals with this and its becoming increasingly difficult, i gain way too much int and i find hunting very difficult nowadays... :(

I'll have to second that.. it's not fun to hunt anymore, as a warrior at least. RA is far far too strong, monsters that heal are annoying, as if you go away for even a short time they're fully healed. I almost always end up spending more on -int pots, and in paticular *bandages* which are difficult to find and expensive. I really do like Obsidian, and i'm not thinking about quitting, but this really limits the amount of time I spend playing.

Post the new client on www.torrentspy.com Get more staff . Fix necro. Get even more staff.... Mabey after necro is fixed we can think about a nice Quest. In the meantime a CTF or somthin would rule... and mabey make a place on the main page that says when events will take place.. Oh and Update more please i know yall are busy but wed appreciate greatly any news on the shard and its plans :) thank you and good day.

theres a crapload of runuo shards to choose from, only one obsi and thats what makes it so good to me.

its not the emulator that makes the shard?
obs is obs
even tho it doesnt resemble the obs i used to love anymore
a change in emulator will simply make things better

Obs has changed a lot over the last year or so... It's not the same anymore.

While switching to RunUO would be very cool,l I doubt it will happen. All of the custom scripts and work on the shard would have to be turned from Sphere Code into C#, and I doubt BB would want to do that.
I own a RunUO shard, and they're bloody wonderful. So easily modified if you know C#, and it's a lot more flexible than Sphere Code, meaning more things are possible.
But would you want to translate 3+ years of coding into a different language?
I sure as Hell wouldn't.

I guarantee that all these suggestions have been thought of and discussed many times both by players and staff. There is already a 'to do' list. Please, don't make any more threads like this unless you have something new to contribute.

Reactive for one has been talked about again and again, and I have personally discused this with Cybervic, as well as pretty much every other player issue under the sun. I even held a question and answer session to ensure that I had the most up-to-date player concerns.

Please rest assured that the serious shard issues are known, and have been discussed amongst the staff. The admin and staff are far more in-tune with player and staff concerns than you give them credit for :)
