One of my friends is having trouble locking down sheafs of hay to be used as a fence. The house is a small 50k one room house.

you can only be lockin' shiat down in dah "hizouse zone"... and for a little mofo bitty hizouse, it be just them squares up in dah frontz... and it be dah ones by them stepz yo

in other words,

to lock down an item u have to lock it down inside of ur house radius. A small house can only have things locked on its steps. Some of the larger houses like a 2 story, has a radius of about 8 squares in every direction.

The largest you can buy here, ie keep, only has one small row outside its door you can lock down. Thats why I'd go for a tower everytime.

or you could just buy land if you ever catch a gm on...not sure how exactly it works but i think its around 650 gp for each square

Last I checked it was approximately 800-900. But buying swathing chunks of land isnt allowed now from what CV said a while ago. Fencing houses, is sometimes done.

ahh ..the last tiem i checked was when biteme was still here so its been a while...i would like to buy a nice plot of land and a fence by my house if i ever see a gm on...bewen meaning to do it for a while
