Norton Antivirus is not gonna affect this at all...and I had absolutely no problems with Norton Internet Security you just gotta know how to configure it properly The best firewall I have found for configuring is Kerio. However, the hardware firewall in my router does the trick now. |

I notice, no one is stating the obviously simple things. Make sure everything is properly plugged in, and switched on. Click>Start>run>type cmd then type ipcongif release then ipconfig reset or visa versa, I forget. Also address 192.168.1.1 should get you to the router menu page in your browser. Sorry if this seems stupid, but I don't know what you might know so, ya know? |

Duncan is right there's the detailled walkthru once you have to release and renew your ip configuration to do it go to Start -> Run... -> cmd In the dos window do : ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig then you will see info stating your Default Gateway, then use a browser and tap this address, should be something like 192.168.1.1 on linksys. then enter admin for username and admin for password... then RTFM Sorry for my english I'm still a froggie |
