In a more high-class sense, you can make quite a bit selling man-hours of labor. You'd be surprised how much some people are willing to pay for menial tasks, like chopping food, feeding the dogs, cleaning out a dungeon or two, etc.

Raw material gathering and/or processing always makes a fair amount of cash for nowbies.
