Thanks for the info :).. I'm sure my main comp can run it just fine, was mainly concerned about my laptop which is only a P3-700 with 192megs of ram.
Well my old comp was a sony viao p2 300mhz and 100 something ram, and ran it fine. Ping'd about 40ish, i currently ping 8-12 but I think its because I bought a decent router :p

And Minazul how long would you say it takes to become a non s****y warrior/mage in obs. Day wise?
Cool, I'll take a look at it friday when I don't have a co-worker here. Sounds like the laptop should handle it just fine..

Another question about skills.. One thing I liked about SWG was that you could drop skills and go pursue something else without rerolling your char. I assume there is only one char allowed per person, so if I don't like crafting can you drop and be a fighter? Is it possible to be a figher/crafter hybrid or is the game written more toward pure classes?

You can have up to 5 chars, and yes you can change any char at any time if you have the money and time to do so.

Well, your MySpace says you don't know what "skinny dipping" is...
Heh-heh, sorry Terek. The tongue insult was quite uncalled for though :?

Welcome, new guy. My advice... join GWAR and just shoot madly at monsters while we hack at them. Don't even pause to perspire... (well, maybe a little bit ;) )

And yes, you can eat forget fish to free up room in your brains for new skills!

ya i meant full gmed skills on a human warrior and a gm fisher/cook in 3 weeks impossible

3 weeks is doable for a warrior or a fisherman, but not both. Even if you stayed online 24 hours a day for 21 straight days doing nothing but training you would have an impossibly hard time GMing 2 full characters.

3 Months to be competitive is more realistic, especially for a new player. It's not uncommon for people to spend a few years working on their accounts without having 1 character fully GMed and finished much less 2.

Obsidian is not really a power leveling kind of shard. That's part of the reason I love this place as much as I do. There's no huge rush to get your character finished. Just work on your account as you can, play smart, and learn as you go. One day you'll log in and realize that you've caught up to (and passed) the status of many veterans.
