Some of the strongest players ARE staff. Besides the whole "a$$holes" thing as Oigen calls it, a lot of these players listed simply do not need this stuff, as we see them placing insane bids in auctions.

You can not argue that most of the people in the list even need that stuff, because of what you just said.. you've played a long time, and you've played a lot. The means of which a few years ago was sometimes... well let's just say questionable.

I do not wish to bash staff in any way, not just because it's against the rules, but they seem to do good work as staff.

However, beefed up player account + staff account eventually equals shard corruption. It's just logic.

You've got shit logic then. Normally it SHOULD be the ones who have everything who are staff. The ones who have everything, don't *NEED* anything, most often don't *want* anything, and have a lot of knowledge.

I don't think some people on that list need the items, but regardless, the reasons some of us are excluded, have nothing to do with our wealth, but more personal problems with Oigen.

Oigen is quitting due to "assholes" yet he, himself, used to bother me daily to join MoB, as he loved to hassle players with his mage "pker" "Zaed Firestorm"

Then why, do tell... do staff members choose to keep their player accounts? What possible use could it serve once a player has a staff account?

I agree there, no staff, counselor, seer, or GM, should be allowed to keep their player account, but when you were stating "a beefed up account + staff = bad" or whatever, that was stupid cause the people who HAVE everything, wouldn't need to cheat.

But yeh, all staff should be required to give up their player accounts, even lowly Counselors.

thats not true at all i'd expect better logic from you wiz.

it doesnt even make sense, why would someone cheat when they already got loads of stuff?

staff is a LOT less corrupt than you guys think. only a few bad staff members gave them all a bad rep. and they are long gone.

you wouldnt believe the personal sacrifice staff members make to be sure no one confuses their decisions with bias. and to be a gm you have to make the ultimate sacrifice in giving up your player account.

spend less time worrying about stuff like that and you will enjoy the game more. no one is holding anyone down but themselves.

remember we are players, we play the game, how hard is that to do? we dont have to worry about crap like making decisions, enforcing rules, jailing our best friends even sometimes. people who decide to become staff do it because they love the shard and want to see it continue, it sucks ass 90% of the time, but someone has to do it and god love the ones who sacrifice to help us have our fun.

I realize that of course. I believe the issue at hand today is favoritism, not corruption. I brought up corruption because I feel strongly that staff needs no player account... that would keep a lot of this paranoia from being an issue in the future.
I realize that. Plus there's the fact that no one can really expect to have staff hold an event for them and say "OK now these people aren't allowed" and expect it to happen. That would also be favoritism.

What Oigen, Hattat, RvnScarlet, and others are so mad about in general at this shard over is the prick to friendlies ratio. There's simply nothing that can be done about that until one of them breaks the rules. When exceptions are made to rules, it makes people scratch their heads and question integrity. The player account thing also raises questions. Let's get both eliminated.

BTW... I just had ANOTHER guild member notify me just now that he is also quitting. Reason? "tired of being harrassed and treated like s***" No we don't need "Rainbow Brite" but jeezus christ people, learn how to show someone respect. Quite frankly I've felt embarresed lately to even be part of this shard due to the overall additude and immaturity level present here.

wiz you should go try another shard and see how friendly they are. youll be raped cut and looted before you can get to the animal vendor to buy a horse, all while still in town. as well as have everything stolen out of your pack everytime you get close to a bank. and you might be shocked when you realize there isnt an ankh placed conveniently at every dungeon, die on any other shard and you can pretty much forget your loot as youll be decayed or looted before you get ressed.

page about it and staff will laugh at you. that is if you ever get an answer.

obsidian is the biggest noob friendly shard on the net. except of course the rp shards that dont allow pvp at all.

no offense to oigen but it sounds like he just got owned and cant deal with it. the problem is that obsidian players are spoiled so bad from the noob friendly system they start thinking they shouldnt die.

as for pvp, get owned about 5 million more times and you might catch up with me.

not trying to argue with you guys, just sharing some wisdom if you will.

I used to get my ass kicked daily by Primal and all the Mexicans years ago, what did I do? I trained like f***, and got better than all them, and now I'm the one harrassing the mexicans

It's your own call to quit and let the "harrassers" continue on, or you could get good, and kick their ass.
