Thanks for the kind words guys and don't worry I won't forget you all even when I do eventually move on past Obs (which like I've said won't be for a while and I'll always be around for support and helping staff even when I'm not in game as I always have been).

If anyone has any ideas one simple games I can code to practice my skills throw them my way. Nothing like Obs here, that's way to comlex. Showing off AI skills and game mechanics skilsl can be shown with simple 2D graphics and doesn't have to be applied to a large scale project to show you have those skills. I've got so many ideas in my head I can't decide on any of them. I'm thinking about making a list of different style of games and just figuring out some kind of order to coding them and then start banging them out.

If anyone has any good ideas for the domain for a portfolio website for myself let me know. I plan on registering the domain today and starting to build a portfolio site tonight. One of my ideas was simply www.victorlaurence.com. Someone told me recently with a name like that I should be in show biz. They say the key to making it in the gaming world is to make name recognition for yourself, get into people's heads and then people want you on their project. Hmmm...

Edit: Nevermind, I made the decision myself after looking for personal sites of big game programmers out there, all their personal porfolio sites are their name so I went ahead with that model especially since my name frankly kicks ass and the domain was available.

And I'm 27 btw, not 30 somthing.

Was wondering if I could get the community of Obsidian's help with the "Frequently Asked Questions" section of my new site:

http://www.victorlaurence.com/index.php ... &Itemid=25

Some ideas are "What are your game inspirations", "Who are your mentors","What is your favorite game genre", "In that genre, what is your favorite game", etc.

Post your ideas here so the community can feed off eachother's ideas so I can get a nice long list.
