Black hair and coloured items created by carpenters are a bug. Trophies made ingame aren't a bug and are used as a prize.

Gms = removed bugged items

Gms = give out prizes for events

Comments like yours are just trying to get people all worked up about a situation that is really very straight forward. Let's just keep it simple and that way everyone understands what's going on

So your saying black hair is illegal and should be cut? Then why hasn't my hair been cut for the past 3 months my miner has had it. You knew he had it and only cut it when i pissed you off on msn. That's resonable, only remove bugs when the players annoy you.

I like to do other things like running events before noticing what colour hair you decide to have each day.

You're annoyed because you spent X amount of gold buying dyes to do the bug. Try spending around 20gp to get a dye tub and dyes and make your hair an original colour without using a bug

i see where you are all coming from duo,regiss,and echo act but all in all

it goes back to people are depressed due to the current lack of features so they seek ways to make there own, im sorry for flaming towards you thassius but dont try to start shit with me over a simple subject,

Im learning the facts and that is whats important, if no one ever made a thread over a controversial topic then how would the lovely citizens of obsidian learn about well... anything

Well I'm sorry for getting angry about it but sometimes you really need to appreciate the immense frustation it causes us to have thread after thread attacking shard policy.

There are things that genuinely frustrate us too - such as bug fixes etc that are really important - so when we see people criticising something so inane it really is like a red flag to a bull.

Even if you disagree with broadband's rules - we don't have to justify them to you. I think sometimes players can be too precious about things like that. It's not like you pay a monthly subscription for the right to co-develop the shard is it?

Valid suggestions are welcome - however complaining that GM's 'dare' to both control bug abuse and enforce the directives of the shard owner is not.

well some people paid to play,,, and they got nothing hehehe not even a donater status thinger LOLZ! suxxors.......... oh.. wait.. nvm :(
and maybe staff should start handing out rare prizes at pre-advertised events so we can have rare items in game PERIOD. I mean face it all the people with rare items there willing to sell are GONE. and collecting plain old POOPOO items are boring, anyone can make a hue using the dye tub,, no one can make a cool new looking one because they have all been done before, and no one can even create new cool colors/special items because it has all been done b4, even rose armor is decreasing in value and it's getting rather boring!
good idea with the trophies but there also boring.... and pretty much worthless
because everyone and there mom has like 2 of each

Hopeless guys...

Come to think of it, I feel sorry for the staff members that are bashed daily for the lack of support from Admins and developers in this "server".

It is a fact that BB lost interest in the shard tons of years ago, you guys experienced it when he announce "heaven on earth" and so many things he was going to do and those never came to reality. There is really no room to complaints here since this is a free service and you just get what u are given and since it is free u have to stfu.

Honestly if you can’t improve the server, can’t backup your promises or simply don’t have the time to keep up with it, get other people to do it. If staff can’t log in cus they are busy with school or work then get other people to staff. Why become a staff member if you are going to be missing in action for 3 straight months. Don’t get me wrong I understand we all have personal problems but yet again that is no excuse that is what u gave up when u became a staff. If you can’t do it simply give the chance to others to do it and quit being a staff member, instead of helping the shard u are hurting it with your incompetence. I know it sounds rude but it is the plain truth guys and forgive me if you are a staff member with a special case other than school and work.

My point to the current player is not to bother, it has been done before with no success and honestly it is not worth it. Don’t complain! GMs don’t have a saying in pretty much nothing except when it come to in game support (answering pages) and event managing but other than that BB is the man, and he doesn’t care. If Sean doesn’t care about his own creation then why should the GMs? Why should the players care? Just play until u are bored of it and if you decide to quit then quit.

ok, so this thread served its purpose in that it got opinions.
But, then opinions only count if they are heard. My only advice atm would be to play and enjoy the game as it is. You don't need to use a bug for special coloured stuff. In fact, how special was black hair anyways.....1/2 the shard had it. It was getting so I couldn't tell people apart. Everyone has black robe, hat and hair LOL.
What keeps me playing Obsidian is not black hair or coloured shields or anything like that. It is more of the people aspect I enjoy. There are many types of people, some of which are pretty awesome. Having a lower player base atm, brings a sense of community to an extent. Everyone knows everyone else. This is a good seed for future growth of the shard once active scripting and admin are full throttle.
Getting back to special colours; I enjoy the more rustic, old britain look. I have seen other shards that had these colours and it looked like Dennis Rodmans closet :roll: It was so garish to look at, I did not even try the shard. Beetles and birds running around with people on their backs was over the top. I think, a red stang(or black would be nice) is quite classy to ride...much better than a beetle. 8)
Anyways, Obsidian is what it is. Not flashy. My advice would be to enjoy the game for what it is. Play by the rules, and spend at least as much time ingame as in the forums :lol:

the fact about this is that BB really doesnt have time for the shard anymore... cmon its been what 7+ years since he created the shard... he is 7 years older and has better things to do than to sit around and fix a bunch of bugs in something he has clearly lost interest in... i do agree with what maximus had to say about staff... we all respect staff members for the work that they do but some of them dont ever log on... why are you going to be staff if you cant log in everyday even for a couple of hours to check on the shard... the excuse might be that you guys are busy with real life events or dont have time... well guess what you wanted to be staff becuase you wanted to help out others and help out the shard.... if your not there than you cant help... im not saying that you guys do a bad job or dont care about the shard.. what i am saying is that some of you guys could show up a little bit more... if you cant than i know for a fact that there are many who are knowledable and are willing to give the time it takes to help out... i know that this subject is not new and it has been around since obs started.... it hasnt change in obs history i very much doubt it will start changing now... my advise is just play the game and enjoy what you have. after all it is a free shard!
