Ok im GM Mining and GM Blacksmith and when im mining i seem to be failing to get ore SOO much, also when mining im only pulling up 2-3 ore at a time, these two problems are making mining take alot more time than before which sucks because its hard to get alot of ore as it is.
Then once ive spent alot of time mining and i go to smelt my ore im losing ALOT of it.
This is making GM mining and Blacksmith a pain in the ass lol
The amount i fail to mine ore and stuff id expect to see this at 50 mining not GM.

Saw this yesterday when i had a abash at Mining and smelting - Its rather disheartening but i suppose in the longrun it could be worthwhile - prices of armour will go up becaus of the fail rate.

I think its another thing just to try and balance the shard and stop a select few having the monopoly of the shard.

i noticed that the first 10 squares i mined post patch i failed almost every swing but then it seemed to go back to normal. I didn't notice anything odd in the drops though.

i had 20 fails in a row while mining, max ore i get from a square is 1-3 ores

and why is Mytheril so hard to smelt? from 20 ore i get like 5-6 igs, i have more success smelting Rose lol

took me 2 hours to get 3 rose ore and i only got 1 ingot
But yeah i lose ALOT of myth, verite, valo etc etc

i just did a 20 minute non stop mining session and didnt get one single IRON ORE...WTF

I don't particularly like the changes either.

The reduced ore amounts per dig aren't too bad to get used to but failing on the ores is frustrating. If it was set so the fails on ores were about the same as what they used to be I think things would be fine. Blacksmithing always evened things up.

i was wondering if anyone had the new fail rates for smelting and bs? and if so could i get a copy? trying to do a new price guide based on the amount of time it takes to find all the ore necessary and the fail rates but fail rate wasn't something i had bothered calculating in the past.

Just done a little mining and tbh didn't really get why diff ingots have diff weight values - shouldn't it be like the whole 1lb feathers - 1lb... i dunno bananas or something? hehe
