perhaps you could make it so summons can only be controlled if they are kept a certain distance from your char making it still possible to use summons for pvm but have them turn against their summoners if in close range such as in walls etc.

err why? because people would rather use summons and shrinks rather than actually getting good at pvp?

Belg, im not trying to be a dick but why do you continually come in here and give your input on the current PvP system when you have no idea?

Get online again and mess around for a while, things change often.

Because my suggestion has nothing to do with the way pvp was or is. I have always thought using summons and shrinks was a cheap tactic, and the pvpers i have always respected through out my time playing here never had to use them until everyone did and then there was no way of doing it without them.

nah using summons was always a good tactic against a good warrior...which almost all warriors are at this point..also magery just feels different from what I remember the spell cast times are different and fizzilin is way easier now...meditation during pvp feels like a extra step since you have to tab out... so meanwhile i do agree mage vs mage pvp used to be better with no summons because everything would be based off spells...these days its vital to have a shrink or a summon with you if you want to win....a solo match. it seriously would take too long to kill anyone without one.

i think toss hit it on the head lol

a summon is kinda like poison atm...

without those 2. forget it. theres no way to do enough damage to outdo there basically guarenteed healing now.. lol or from what i see in mage vrs warrior pvp...

not saying this is a bad thing, because if a mage has mana it is HARD dropping him without poison (from what i see) and when a warrior has a bear it's just that much worst for the mage lol

so ya bears and poison = a stable for pvp atm :/

What about making grizzly bears, polar bears, hell hounds, snakes and all that kind of jazz much weaker than it is currently?

making them weeker would help me out alot... but id still say no! its balanced ok the way it is...
imo

The thing is if you make them weaker, they become useless in other scenarios like hunting and so on. I do not see what is so cheap about them. Its not like its one player who has all of them. Everyone is using, and that is what brings a fight less dull and long:).

Well idk if this can be done or not but how about makeing the summoms like bears and snakes and what not have a random str like you might get a normal one but you have a % to get a weaker one. Or maybe make a potion that a warrior could use to weaken animals for a short while.

It was a good tactic at one point because it was a solution to a balance issue. But I for one would much prefer a more balanced system where we don't have to use them. That has always been my opinion and always will be regardless of how balanced it is now or was or w/e. summons and shrinks are just an easy way out pretty much.
