i'd like to think there are different kinds of cheating, much like there are different crimes.

for instance, there are victimless crimes, like smoking marijuana and sodomy (consentual sodomy is illegal :P )

i'd like to think there's a slight difference in what Ashes did, by breaking into somebodies house and exposing them as a cheater, and by what other players have done and gotten banned for (such as fake ss's to get their stats buffed).

the only "victim" in what Ashes did was against somebody who should have gotten banned as well.

that doesnt justify him breaking into the house, but its far from something that somebody should be permanantly banned for.

well...i for one was pked a few times by ashes...so i know who he is and what he's done, but i like this game way too much to change the way i play or how much i play due to one guy's actions. He's unbanned, if he fucks up he's gone. We need players, he is one of em, hell who knows if he loves this shard enough to be banned and unbanned, get tons and tons of shit, and still come back, thats kinda what we need. If hes still here playin with all these guys who hate him maybe hell bring some other people to play along with him. If theyre assholes, theyll be noobs and we can kill em a bunch and have fun with it.

So, why the hell not....for anyone he offended personally im not tryin to stake a claim for ashes sake, im just sayin he loves the shard as much as alot of us and right now we could use some drama and excitement. Have every pker and fighter obs has and rile up and kill him...hell enjoy it, its competetion.

Jst remember, if he fucks up again, hes gone for good. hes the dale earnhardt of obs...pisses everyone off but everyone knows hes good.

I have to agree there. If he is being watched and if he cheats hes gone what harm could he do? And as far as showing staff a bug and letting them know how it was abused isnt that better than telling noone and looting obs dry?

People, you hear too many rumours. Yeah ashes looted about 3 houses, with Anadvine, the partner in crime looting about another 10 or so. I dont give a shit if illegal items were found or not, thats another matter, breaking into your enemies house and rummaging amongst their stuff is so wrong in my eyes that it beggers belief.

But ok, we've moved on, he's been let back for a reason, so let's just play the game. If you dont like ashes go kill him, back your own beef. Ashes has already had a public slating on the last thread along these lines, lets leave it at that.
