it is the case.... its just the spawns for black rock are rare and are few and far between for some mines you just have to find the right mine is all and then its easy to find.... shit in 1 day of mining when i had my smith i mined 148 BR ingots and 201 Rose.... just have to find the right mine |

He's been here since the start, so I wouldn't doubt that "maybe" once before a long time ago, the rate at which you could mine rose and BR might of been alot higher |

Yeah, I could believe that. Either that, or he ran into the single greatest statistical anomaly in history |

In the 5 years ive been gm miner, ive never encountered numbers like that. Rose wasnt even in the game at first, it showed up maybe 2-3 years ago? You could get very high amounts of BR once though, and that was when the shadows dropped them as loot. So i guess Blob has just been mistaken it for bronze or something like that |

Out of each tile you have a 1% chance of finding 1 BR. |

if im dragging home around 1600 various ingots a day then it should mean 16 br a day, i only use to get MAX 4 a day.. when mining ALOT. so should be more like atmost 0.25% chance in my experience. and on several occasions ive depleted "my" mine wihout a single BR |

You're forgetting different amounts of particular ores you get from single tile. From my experience I'd get 9-15 rose, 5-10 br from my usually mined mines of ~500 or ~700 tiles. So it wasn't that bad. One thing that seemed to help was doing only 1 mining attempt per tile, i.e. leaving some ores in the ground. Not much use for those low level ones anyway. |

Getting perhaps 3 Bronze ore from a tile mined, knowing there is bronze still left there but leaving it. Wont the next one mining that tile (even if 2-3 days passed) getting bronze from it? |

Mining tiles respawn in like what 14-15 hours after attempting to mine it. If anyone mined during that, sure they'd get your leftover bronze. And it's allready spawned, so even a 30% miner could find high-end ores that way. |

Regiss is right. And i think blob is full of it. When rose was first put in, the spawn rates for rose and blackrock were a little generous. I.e. you'd get 4-6 rose ore per rose vein, and 8 blackrock. This only lasted a few days. You'd need insane amounts of luck to get more then 60 rose from a mine during those days. Here is what happens when you mine: 1. The game checks if the tile is minable. 2. If the tile is mineable, it checks to see if there is an ore vein item there already, if there is and it's not empty, it tries to mine some from that vein. If it is empty, it says no more ore. 2. If there is no vein there, it rolls a random number against your mining, and spawns a vein of ore, then starts mining it. The amount of ore in a vein is inversly proportional to the difficulty. I.e. a vein with difficulty 0 may have 100 ore and one with difficulty 10 may only have 1. 4. When you mine a vein of ore, it decreases the amount, to 0, at which point it is empty. The type of ore at any given spot is determined when you try to mine there, not before, and it changes everytime it "respawns", because it deletes the old empty vein. If you take a GM miner and use a pickaxe on every tile in a mine, and then cancle the mining and go on to the next one, you have just spawned ore veins for that entire mine, and someone w/ 0 mining may try to dig up the veins, even if they are rose or black rock. Also, the decay rate of empty veins of ore, or the "respawn" rate for the mine, is proportional to how many players is on. If 100 players are on, the mines respawn more quickly. This applies to all resources such as fishing and lumberjacking. |

Quote: bb tried to implement that, to influence vendor respawn too, but it works shit all.
Vendor restock works to some extent, as higher population cities do have a lower restock time, but it's by couple minutes only |
