Wundn't it be neat if the world map was changed into the actual REAL world map

like this I mean

Image

and then put as cities like the biggest cities in the world like moscow, new york and stuff like that!?

rofl I'm stoned...

and yea about that, why don't put like magic mashrooms and stuff that would make you go high in game like loss of stats, hallucinations, move slower and stuff like that!

and then what about houses could have gardens and you could grow regs in it..

and how about spawning monsters like GOBLINS? I think goblins are uber-cool...

obviously would be nice to have even new rides, like flying rides which you can fly over water and houses and stuff like that...

then maybe new spells like summon whatever monster u like, or a spell that can copy yourself for a few creating another char like you which causes actual damage...

or even dunno, making events where u win a "skill stone" which if you use it, it will increaase a certain skill of like 10-20%...

then how about wiping out all the vendors so that ppl would actual work to gather anything even like scissors and stuff like that.. like you put only vendors in cove so ppl will get the stuff they need to start with, after that in all the other towns there won't be any vendors at all so that if you need regs, bandies, armors, objects you could ask another player or go check the player vendors..

what about creating new armors made of gems, like emerald plate or stuff like that...

what about un-blocking all the other spells and make then balanced to pvp/pvm...

what about accessories, like sunglasses and stuff like that to make ur paperdool look cooler..

what about magic necklaces/rings/robes/armors/weapons which increase your stats/skills ? (not newbied obviously)

what about creating custom- guild towns.. like guilds with 30+ members can actually own a town or region...

what about u can hire "good warriors" or mages that could help you with pvp...

what abour fortune cookies that can increase stat/skills or drop a cool object ?

what about creating lamps with genies that can make come true 1 wish like gold or wep (but not any you want they shud be set like 10k and a +7 wep)

what about when you choose the town where you come from you when u create a new char you are kinda bounded to that town and like if u see a guy from another town he's red to you and stuff like that..

what about you can choose if you can be evil or good and like be red from the beginning and being in a red town and you can't be killed by monsters or only by certain blue monsters and make both evil and good dungeons and towns..

and then dunno, if anything else will come up I'll post it

Wouldn't it be nice if:

Instead of Obsidian always having the regular Christmas where Duo comes as Santa and gives us presents, but we do all the holidays. That would mean we could have Hanakah, Ramadan, and any other holiday (this could also be the small ones like President's Day) Then this could give obsidian a little more of a realistic feel to it.

Also I would like to see this. I have talked to Echo about it, and he said that it sounded like a good idea, but I think he forgot about it. My plan is to start having like mini mystery quests. It would start like most of them, with the King telling everyone to come to Britanian Castle for an announcment. Then he would give us some clues, and we would, both individually or in a group, go out and try and solve the mystery. And of course a handsome prize would be waiting for the one(s) who solved the mystery. (P.S. I was watching Scooby-Doo at the time I told Echo about this).

Those are some of my ideas. Enjoy! :D

Automated daily caravans to supply each town's supplies. These would be random but announced an hour before departure. The announcement would include a start and end destination. The caravan will take 10 minutes to reach its destination and must survive or the town it was supplying will get no restock that day. Enroute the caravan will be attacked by the likes of trolls and harpies. Nothing crazy so that all may help including new people.

No pking on this trip. To aid in this a gate would be placed in the rune chamber that would lead to the departure point 5 minutes before leaving. The creatures attacking the caravan will carry higher than normal loot and would give more fame and karma than usual as well. Other than that, the reward is being able to use the shops that day. Also, if the shops don't get their regular supply of gold and goods, that means they cannot buy your goods such as gems and looted armours.

Neat! Huh?

Wouldn't It be neat If.........

We could have some new life brought to some of the craft skills that are still lacking in this area. I am using Fletching and Tinkering as prime examples of this. First of all well done on the other craft skills, they give the player the ability to craft special objects when they reach GM and I think this encourages players to GM in those skills. However I noticed Tinkering and Fletching were not as highly regarded. So my proposed IDEA would be that you add some sort of Items / Weapons that can be crafted by-

- Using large sums of mildly rare items.
- Incredibly high skill requirements (e.g 99.8%)
- Low low success rates for creation.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Now the image below is just to show a general idea. I am still unsure of the values of rescources and there availabilty, so this sort of decision making is best left down to the Game Masters -

I sort of got this idea whilst reading the caravan idea, which I think is brilliant idea. Anyway I remembered when Ultima Online had first come out, the creators boasted about a few of the features (one of which is what I am going to describe, however I have never seen it working in game).
The creators spoke of Ultima Online as very deep persistent world using this as an example -
Say you go out to wilderness and start killing loads of sheep. These sheep are neighbouring Dragons food supply. By killing these sheep the dragons become hungry and angry so they start attacking the neighbouring cities or towns for food.
From this I started thinking about how Human Players have there cities and towns where they can - seek protection from guards, buy and sell goods, bank and other such mundane tasks.
However we never see Monsters or Evil NPC's doing anything like this. I just thought it might be quite fun if you had a large "Monster" city.
Monsters can seek protection from NPC / Monster Guards, you would beable to see some of the more mundane crafter monsters in there every day life.
I know you may say thats just boring! However you could give the players the ability to sneek into this city(transformation spells) or lure Monsters out(perhaps using sheep-dragon situation OR the caravan idea but reversed for Monster City.)
The point being that it would be incredibly difficult to kill any of these monsters due to them being well protected, but if you manage to attack a crafter monster, they will be easy to fight due to their lack of fighting skills and would also carry lots of gold.

wouldnt be neat to have a pk monster say a dragon and it roamed the world free and pk all players nobody would know where or when it may strike and if you were unlucky enough to get pked it would take the loot just like in a pk and take it back to its layer the monster or dragon or w/e wouldnt be invincible just really hard to defeat so if you seen it out and about you could try to kill it and get w/e loot it had on it that day if none were successful the drogon would take the loot to his layer where it would be guarded by yet another dragon then like every week or 2 weeks players could get a group or team to try and take the dragons down for the loot

you beat me to it! however, i remember that the original designers said that the dragon would kill the sheep (or in what i read, cows) causing the NPC farmer to auto-create a quest to kill the dragon.

maybe a better way to do it would be this: spawn a unique beast that starts munching every single living thing (including other monsters!) within a certain radius. the cool thing about that is, you wouldn't even have to code in an NPC alert since players who hang out in certain areas would notice right away that "something was wrong". in other words: "Hold! It seems much too quiet here..."

this monster would be so epic in nature that two or more players would be required to kill it. once slain, it would yield all items from whatever creatures it had killed (gold, weps, etc.). also, if someone were to carve it and examine it's guts, they would find everything that might be useful from carving the same animals that it had consumed (wool, feathers, hides). as a safeguard (for balance), the monster could "poo out" excess items and let them decay naturally. that would be neat as well since it would give an intrepid party a clue that they were nearing the gluttonous beast.

in another thread, Raine2004 thought that my suggestion for my GM fisher to whip out a sturgeon in self defense was funny.

"Say hello to my snappy little friend!" (that was a "tip o' the hat" to Al Pacino in the movie Scareface)

in retrospect, i think it would be a great idea to give crafters a defensive only weapon. make the weapons powerful and limited in use. i don't mean like when Willow used one of his acorns and just dropped it on the fricken ground. however, if someone is powerful enough, they should be able to resist whatever attacks said crafter can throw at them. if so, then you are truly vile...attacker of crafters...you...heh...

yep, give crafters an ability to defend themselves. cooks...throw flour in your attackers face...fishers...literally give them a bite of a feast fish (yes, make feast fish "really" useful)...tailors...throw a fist-full of needles!

anybody with a GM (or close) crafter should be able to defend themselves somewhat with what they have on hand. again, i'm not looking for Attack strength here. Just something to reflect the fact that they are, well, let's face it, smarter than whoever decides to attack them... :P

Edit: "smarter" character-wise...

you guys got some good fookin ideas.

that idea was sorta like mine about the pk char jimmy except i thought it would be neat if the pk monster/char were controlled by a roleplaying staff. they could create this obsidian pk character make it a domain and everything and that would be the staff's only role on the shard. if needed another staff could take over the role if that staff quit or wanted to change his role on obsidian but the character would be an icon on obsidian perpetually.
