From what I've seen most ppl just suck at PvP in general and it soesn't matter what system they put in. Even if it was completely balanced there still will be 3/4 of the population here saying it sucks cuz they are still dying. My advice is to stop with the ganks, stock up with armor/regs/weps w/e and get out there and get your ass handed to you a few times. IMO thats the only way you will ever get good no matter what system is in place.

I dont think anyone said it was impossible to kill a mage, except for chips hehe, because it is possible for ANYONE to kill whoever. Its 50% luck and then its down right skill, all very skilled pvp warrior but newbie one could kill any mage prob if he had luck on his side. But in all honestly none cant say that mages dont have the upper hand because they do. Ive never even seen a gm mage fail a fs at the same time a warrior has trouble inflicting over 20 dmg with any weapon on anyone with a decent armour, including mytheril. I remember a few years ago when i had the same chars as now but with much less skill points i could kill most ones i tried, or at least outlive them and get away after a few mins of trying. now its BAM BAM DEAD. I figure that what happened was that admins noticed warriors had an advantage, at least the vamps, and boosted up the mages to make them equal, things went to the other direction and here we are...

Lol, seriously Old style pvp, Barney was good, would beat anyone 9/10 times, now, i can probably do 5/10 against normal people, or 1 maybe 2 / 10 vs Black magic / ashes, have fought BM about 10 times and won once, have fought ashes once and won once (however please note this was in the arena and i had vanq weps / lightning bows and about 50 greater poisons)


So the reality is, (with me and my slow mace anyways) if you dont have some kick ass weapons, lotsa greater poisons, you dont really have a fair chance, even stacked up with shizz, its never gonna be 50 /50, which is the answer to your question Ross, its just not worth coming outside to fight a mage if you are a warrior, takes ages to make the greater poisons and BAM theyre gone in 1 go (plus armour, weps etc etc), however, all you mages out there, i dont see why you dont go out and fight
