Why didn't anyone invent the midi player before mp3 players? Think about it. W/ 100 megs you could store thousands of midis, and most aren't that bad to listen to if you find the right setups. Just another random thought for you all. |

lol I tried this one. I ran a few midi files through professional sound modules and software synthesisers incluing Roland (Edirol) Orchestral. I then proceeded to give them a full mastering job like a professional CD. I'd still rather listen to the radio

a.) i cant be bothered to worry bout disc space with 320gb of hdd space on my pc. b.)no one uploads warezed cds in midi. c.) i prefer my music to sound a little better than "not that bad". d.) youre a nerd, duo. |

You guys kinda missed the point.  I know having htem now is useless, i'm saying why were they skipped in the evolution? I mean before mp3 players came out, why didn't they try midi players? I mean hell, back then all we had was the .wav and lets face it, good quality but filesize was huge.

they did, on cell phones.. midi's were never really all that awesome hense the reason why there werent cd's goin plat with midi songs on em. no demand. apparently. woulda flopped like heck! course woulda made sense. ipods are soooooooooooooooooo COOL tho
