You get more mana, you want your spells to do more damage, train eval intel. Int will give you a small bonus in all intel based skills as well.

yes, i know that, i'm also training eval int. but my question was rather posted towards knowing the spell damage boosts given by intelligence growth. for instance, we know that there is a damage boost when your strenght reaches 170. what are the int values at which spell damage boosts occur?

the magery skill provides the booster u are speaking of..
what exactly are u talking about reguarding int...?
at GM magery.. all dmg spells do ALOT of dmg compared to having low magery.. that is booster enuff..
to my knowledge there is not booster in reguards to your int... and it should be that way.. unless of course... u wanted to change the way magery worked and just have ur skill be based on fail/success rate. and then have your actual int base the dmg of the spell.. lol

i was asking. str has damage boosts, archery has damage boosts based on dex, i thought that spells would also have boosts based on int. maybe someone who actually has a mage and has tested this might answer on this topic?

aha, so as far as damage is concerned it doesn't matter if you have 176 int or just 50, correct? it's all based on the magery skill.

I'm pretty sure that INT has nothing to do with the damage you recieve from damaging spells.

Hmm having more int has nothing to do with damage, and the more magery you have the more damage all ur spells do. And i think this is fine since magery has a good success/ fail rate based on magery. At gm magery you fizzle once in 100 tries on any spell.

Unless someone hits you at that precise moment of casting, right?
