Just wanted to give everyone the heads up. Since we now have a lot of counseling staff and seer staff we are starting to hold events a LOT more frequently. In fact we are holding at LEAST 1 event a day and sometimes more. I think today we held something like 5 or maybe even more events.

These are the kinds of events all staff can host.

1v1 - Haven Arena elimination duels!
2v2 - Haven Arena elimination duels!
4v4 - Haven Arena elimination duels!
FFA - Haven Arena everyone for themselves Free For All!
4TeamBattle - 4 Teams vs each other in the 4 way dungeon arena
RoyalRumble - The classic wrestling event comes to Obsidian!

Question and Answer Sessions - Meet the staff at Britain Counselor Hall while we answer your questions.
Quiz Shows - Answer questions about obsidian to score points. The person with most points wins!

Crafter Showcase - Whoever crafts a given set of items the fastest wins a prize.
Fasion Shows - Small prizes awarded for funniest outfit, scaryest outfit, and more.
Hide & Go Seek - The staff member hides and the first person to find him wins.
Races - Run around Cove Territory to Sherwood the fastest for a prize.
Scavenger Hunts - Find a set of items in the allotted time. Closest or fastest wins a prize.
Treasure Hunts - Find the hidden prize claim books for a small prize or find the actual hidden treasure

Dungeon Romps - Organized staff dungeon crawl. Fun way to practice organization for those BIG quests.

These are the kinds of events only seers and GM's can host.

Graveyard Surges - Hard monsters appearing in a certain GY's. Clear the graveyard for the greater good.
Monster BASH! - Big arena with waves of monsters to kill. Lots of loot for all.
Prison Break - An prisoner from a town has escaped. Kill him in the nearby territory for the bounty.
Rescue - Rescue an item or NPC from a monster infested area.
Under Attack - Monsters attacking towns. Defend the town for the greater good!

These are the kinds of events that only GM's can host.

Auctions - Auctioning off rare stuff to players.
Boat Battle - Pirates from red and blue ships go head to head. Fun event.
Capture the Flag - The old classic game of red vs blue. Fun event.
Big Events - Large events/quests that span several days or weeks.
Pyramid Battles - Special elimination duels in the pyramid battle arena.

Some events last 30 minutes like treasure hunts, some last around an hour or two like Q/A sessions, and if you are lucky enough to be at one of my Monster Mashes they last 2-4 hours. Please let us know whether you like these events or not and what we can to do make them more fun for all. The above listed events are events that even counslors can do.

boat battles can be a pain. hard to keep track of everything simply because its such a large area. but ill host one soon enough :p

Will there be any type of schedule or calendar for these events. I can understand if they are on the fly but it would be a lot easier to attend if you know like a day or so ahead of time.

Something basicly like this schedule would work: Radio Schedule. I might just be a stickler

Hopefully the Events will be more heavily attended now it used to be 10 people might show up and then it would turn into a guild war followed by Newbies rushing in and looting the big kills from the players who did all the fighting. I loved the quests and events. Beware the first Newbie who loots kills they had little to do with. For this time when I turn RED I stay RED. No more trying to be mister nice guy. In fact I may just turn into a PK this go round I have always defended people from PK's. For a long time I was the only one with the balls to stand up to Rahb and I took my beatings for it, but this time I might make that journey into the darkside.
