Alright, i did this mainly as a proof of concept.

If you're a real newbie and just need a place to stay, all you need to do is kill 80 skeletons and turn 100% of those bones into pots. Then just turn those into this:

Note, this house relies on people being honest. They can and will steal your home out from under you. Not suggested for actual living. Will not protect against big red rock eaters.

I would like to take the moment to apologize to all the people I have ripped on their ideas and called them retarded, they may have been ill thought out, but they are by no means anywhere close to how retarded this complete waste of time is. Thankyou.

lol Duo you're weird.

Duncan. Seriosly. Grow up and just learn to hold your tounge if you have nothing positive to contribute. It's a well known fact stonewall potions don't decay, so one could build a "permanent" house out of them.

Secondly, it was mentioned, this was somethign done while bored just for amusement. The rest of the shard gets it,w hy don't you?

Please cut the flames, Duncan... they aren't necessary

Personally, I think its pretty cool. I like to see players doing original things in Obsidian - and besides, its a far more constructive pastime than board trolling ;)

I look forward to seeing what you come up with next, Duo :)

Also, if you have a large enough house with a large enough catchment area, I presume it would be possible to build this as a house extension and use a master key to lock them all, whence making it permanent? It would make a very original guesthouse...

However I will advise against putting this as an addition to a house, as the itemcount for such a construction is quite high, and the client does have issues loading that many items, both on login and on entering the area.

If you have an item count above a reasonable number, around 255, then you run a risk of being unab le to login after a crash. For every 50 items above 255, your risk increases exponentially. This includes staff as well. This also affects staff teleporting to respond a page, and cause an instant crash of thtat staffmember.

The rest of the shard knows how to take some teasing, why can't you?

Seriously, Thass I'm not homosexual, you aren't going to be seen walking down the street holding my hand ever. So really stfu. You're not my gf.

Secondly, this was a complete waste of time, or worse what if a bunch of people start trying to build these and litter the countryside with stonewall potions? Did you ever think about the fragile ecosystem in Obsidian? HUH? No, of course not.

And why on earth would someone want to make a bottle structure? Tell me I'm wrong, but can't you just walk thru all the walls?

I get it was just killing time, for personal amusement.

Some people are so sensitive.

I personally don't see the reference to homosexuality in anything I wrote. Wishful thinking on your part it seems ;)

I don't care if you know BB or not, that doesn't give you the right to flame me - or Duo - or anyone else.

It's not about sensitivity, its about the fact that you seem to want to be a pathetic little board troll. And I would see that as more an observation than a flame. I really suggest that you grow up and find something better to do than posting pointless insults and disruptive comments.

Seeing as BB wrote the forum rules in the first place, rest assured I will enforce them if I see them broken again.

Oh, and last time I checked, 'Proof of concept' does not imply that players should be building themselves real, permanent houses using this method. So perhaps its you that took Duo's experiment a little seriously? Durr.
