The Forums are a place for all of us as players and staff to use as a means of communication, it is not a place for venting anger. A few people appear to have had a problem with some posts being deleted the other day. Instead of politely asking the majority of you decided to flame, insult, offend, abuse and generally make a mockery out of the sole reason the forums are here: Communication. For the record I did some mass clearing of postings because I wanted to keep many of the topics alive and available for discussion. The posts I deleted and edited were removed because they were either encouraging someone to reply with a flame or were a direct flame themselves, and were moving away from the desired response of the thread. In addition to this, it is not acceptable for people to ignore Thassius's warning: DO NOT REVEAL STAFF'S PLAYER IDENTITIES. I have deleted alot of posts simply because they do just this, and I will continue to do so. If you feel that I have done you a great injustice then please feel free to PM Thassius (admin of the boards) or any of the upper staff. One thing that particularly got me annoyed about this situation was the reference of the forums being similar to communist China. That's politically insulting and I hope you realise how rude that comes across to staff and moderators working hard to preserve a friendly and talkactive community. Get over all the hate and anger and only post if you're saying something constructive. These forums are here to be enjoyed not constantly monitored by staff to ensure players stick to the rules. -Counselor Echo |
