I was at my tower and lost connection because of a lightning storm by my house. I got back on, double-clicked Rick James, and my client froze at Entering Britannia. I hit the "X", logged in again and was left with only 4 characters (all except Rick James) on my character menu.

Now it either locks up when I try to load any character or at the "Connecting..." screen. I'm hoping its my connection, but I've never had this happen before.

Any advice?

try uninstalling and then reinstalling Obsi - that tends to solve any problems with the client freeze! NOTE :- before doing that you MAY want to copy your macros and then dump them back in when you reinstall!!

Hopefully you didn't delete Rick James by accident...

Restarted 3 times and was finally able to log in after about 10 minutes at the Connecting screen...except now all my spell icons/status window dissapeared and my screen got resized. At least my char wasn't deleted.

My character was also stuffed before I lost connection and now he was extremely hungry from all the attempts to log in and getting stuck half-logged-in lol

That's f***** up, what were you doing at the time of the crash? I've had some pretty bad client side crashes but nothing like that.

If you tried another shard to check the login that would explain the icons and status going missing.

wow unlucky

desktop.uos in char settings folder controls your game desktop settings.
It's worth backing that up along with macros.txt when reinstalling.
However most of the times it itself is the problem when it doesn't let you
login like that.

Glad it turned out not to be the worst scenario, hehe.

I dunno bout that, but i crashed in the RC and now I can't log back into that character, he was holding a bunch of stuff for my mage too.. sucks harsh lemon tits.

Just get someone to punch you while you try to log in. What happens is your character will briefly show up in the runestone chamber but you won't be able to log on (most likely some issue with there being so many items)

Either page for staff to move you or get someone to punch/hit you while trying to log in.
