Post subject:  Which Weapons Better

I've seen weapons with additions like force, power, vanquish, and fire. Which are better?

You actually have two different properties to magic weapons.

The imbuement runs from +1 to +9, intervals of 2.
+1 is a Ruin weapon.
+3 is a Might weapon.
+5 is a Force weapon.
+7 is a Power weapon.
+9 is a Vanquishing weapon.

Please note these + are applied directly to damage. So a +9 kryss gets more bonus from the +9 then a +9 halberd.

The other properties are the magic component.
Example include Lightning, Fire, Pain, Life Leech, Ressurection, Gate Travel, etc. . .

As for which is the best, it really depends on the weapon and what you are using it for.

However if you want the current opinion of the shard the best is a vanquishing of lightning, usually in the form of a bow or ba.

Other good elements include pain, poison strike, and fire and life/mana leech. For damage anyway.

what situations would each of those magic elements make a weapon very useful for.

+rezurrection - is nice for warriors to have so they can rez another warrior or mage if they die

+gate travel - is useful for just about everyone who hunts, as it is one of the only ways to quickly escape a pker in a dungeon; can also be used on a warrior to travel to various places, but I feel this would just be a waste of charges

+lightning/fire - is useful for doing good amounts of damage in situations you need to pack a punch, like in a big pvp battle or against a very strong monster such as a wyrm or balron or something

+poison - useful for pvp against mages, as the passive poison effect will annoy them to no end

+mana drain - effect is obvious, use against mages and tanks

+life leech - useful if you are tanking a heavy hitting monster or are just plain lazy and don't like to heal much

+total ______ - the effects are disabled so the result is you just have a pretty weapon for banksitting or for actual fighting if it comes to that

I think this covers most of the major magical effects enjoy!

Please keep in mind you'll need to use these weapons a bit before charging them or else it will not charge them..

is fire enabled?

yes, fire will cast fireball, and add the damage but not show the animation, same goes for pain but I believe you can atleast see when pain casts harm on opponents.

I don't think you see pain cast, well i've never seen someone be harmed when I've been hitting them

wow, there is a lot to learn/know about the weapons alone. I guess that is why this game is so damn addictive and fun!
