mining and smelting gains mining skill, making stuff gains smithy skill and repairing stuff gains arms lore and smithy skill both. mining is much harder to gm than smithing imo. but if you think its slow now, you're gonna go nuts when you reach the 80's. |

You are better off i think to GM mining first and save all you're ores. You should have enough then to GM smith. Also smelting ores 1 by 1 will give you faster gains. |

I gm'd mineing way faster than i gm'd smithing but I also was a huge noob and let my house along with all my ores decay then had to start collecting again and decided to train tinkering....so yeah train BS FIRST lol |

Don't bother with either.. make yourself an alchemist or something more useful.. I made a GM miner/smith, used it for a week and never touched it again.. WORD OF THE WISE YO! |

Blacksmithing was harder imop... mining can be fun. yay some shadow ore, yay some golden ore, yay... etc blacksmith gains is just, whats that, a dagger? never seen that before *sarcasm*Quote: Don't bother with either.. make yourself an alchemist or something more useful.. why not make a char having both skills? instead of having a blacksmiht, a alch... i started with 50blacksmith / 0 mining. then its room for 50 alch skill in there
