I don't know if anyone else has suffered this in the past few days, but it makes it a bit difficult to bother taming if it keeps happening. Yesterday, I logged on, figuring I'd cruise around on my tamer and see if I could grab a couple horses and maybe some sheep. Anyways, I manage to tame a few animals and head back to my house, only to find that my 13 sheep were no longer there. They were on the second floor of my house, so I don't think Earthquake woulda gotten them. To make matters worse, I left the horse and llama I had tamed behind in there, and when I logged on today, lo and behold, they're gone too Is staff going around deleting animals from people's houses or what? I'm really getting tired of it now... and yeah, they were all renamed. |

Thats what it looks like... first time seems to coincide with all the human NPCs getting turned into animlas, and the second time with them being turned back maybe It really really is lame that this happened though |

Yup was an npc wipe, first time i lost 11 sheep, about 6 horses and 3 or 4 llamas...wasnt too bothered when i found it was for the quest and what not. Wish someone would have mentioned there would be a second wipe - before i went and replaced them Just replaced them again, anyone know if there will be another wipe? |

I was not given a heads up on the wipe. In the future if I do and no one else has notified the players though, I will. Sorry to hear about your sheep and horses... at least you didn't have mustangs prancing around there |

Ha! I almost did lose a mustang- tamed 2 horses and a stang yesterday then had to log off for work. I was just going to leave the stang in the house but someone came along and gave me a shrink pot, damn lucky i guess. Lost the horseys tho- I cried lol |

NPC wipes normally happen once a month during server maintenance. This has been standard practice for over 3 years. It balances spawns, reseeds dungeons and generally keeps the world healthy. While I can understand your frustration, this isn't some big surprise and you should expect to see this happen around the 30th or 1st of each month. I realize this hasn't happened religiously, but it just proves how much more necessary this month's wipe was. If you're so worried about losing animals either use shrink potions or choose a different profession. I'm sure there have been more sheep deaths through shearing accidents then by a npc wipe. |

I think what happened here is there was a standard NPC wipe and then another one had to be done to change the vendor's back from animals. I could be wrong there but they were definately wiped twice. It is a pain in the ass to replace animals but it is kind of nessessary. |

Now that I know why the animals disappeared, I'm not all bent out of shape about it... its fully understandable if it it was a server-wide thing to keep everything fresh and running smoothely. |

You weren't the only one there was a few ppl, including me, who didn't see that second wipe coming. |

I do apologize for the two wipes, but it was necessary. As far as expectations go. Assume there will be an NPC wipe on the 31st or 1st of every month. |
