After much ado with working too much, deciding to change my broadband ISP, and then having lots of problems with the morons who work for this ISP, I've FINALLY got my ADSL up and running again at home.

So this is in case some of you were wondering where I was. For those of you who didn't actually care where I was, simply rewind the last thirty seconds of your life and you're right back there.

I hope Obs is doing well, I'll try and get back ingame and keeping my eagle-eye on the forums as much as possible now I have a consistant connection for the first time in weeks - so y'all better play nice

Oh, and the moral of the story kids, is that if you live in the UK DO NOT SIGN UP TO SKY BROADBAND. Even simply on the basis that they are stupid, and any company that states in their terms and conditions that you cannot use your own router does not deserve your money. In fact, I'll give a brownie point to anyone that can suggest (via PM) a better way for them to use the router they supply... double points if you use the word 'insert'.

when sky was first introducing their connections, a few months back a sky salesman-dude offered me what seemed like a ridiculously fast connection - but in my wisdom knowing they would be absolute sh**e told him to turn his clipboard and his offer sideways and well...the rest should be obvious

the guy asked me what company i was with and what speed and responded with "no that cant be right..."

bloody time waster! it was on his clipboard ffs i think it was for sky anyways, hehe
