I recently read the guide at http://www.outz.com/guide/ that an ATM chest could be purchased for 20k via contacting a GM. This chest would be identical to the one found in the Vendor Area in the Rune Chamber. Since I couldn't find any information via the boards, I thought it would be nice if I posted my question here even though I have already recently paged in game and PMed Echo.

I will post the results of the outcome. Any comments would be appreciated not only by myself but by new/future players.

Well from what i was told from staff is we won't be able to purchase ATM boxes anymore....Dunno why as if we can afford it why not sell them to us.

Just like everything else here,if we had it you won't get it.

I asked a while ago the reason for not being able to that I got was we all need to hang out at the bank more if we all had bank boxes then we wouldn't talk and thus no community or some such like that.

I remember them only being given as nice event prizes.. Never do i remember a day where there were lotsa cheap atm chests available.. Mabey they were straight out sold at one point but not cheap.. Inflation has of course occured as well.

i think the price is fine. it sorts the wheat from the chaff so to speak. if you're serious about a chest then it shouldn't be a problem.

however, there are some things that need to be clarified.

1) is there really a 50 gold access fee like the chest in the vendor area states? i've used that chest several times but have never noticed a reduction of my gold.

2) are there only certain GMs that can place such a chest? it would be very sad to page and just wait forever in the spot you want your chest if the only admins on can not place such an item.

all in all, i'm glad such chests are available. i think it will really help the crafters on the shard. in our case, it will allow our smiths to access their ingot stock at our home base without risking transporting things over long distances.

It's much like placing a loom - people only have to wait when they expect staff to do all the work for them.

If you stand where you want the ATM or loom or whatever and have the gold nearby then simply page saying "I'd like to purchase a *item here* the *gold amount* is *the location you put the gold*".

It's as easy as that and should be sorted within 24 hours.

thanks for the info Echo. i appologize if some of these things seem like "old information" but i'm sure any n00bs that come along will really appreciate the info. it may very well be time for someone to step forward and rewrite the two obsidian skill guides that i know of that are out there?

in other news, even if it seems trivial, please answer the first question in my previous post. i think that would cover pretty much any possible question that i or other people may have about ATM chests.

and is it a fact that it costs 50 gold to access the ATM? just want to make that clear for any new players. like i say, i haven't noticed a gold reduction before. but maybe i needed to "refresh" my gold status by moving a pile or something? anyhoo...just want to know for sure!
