I know theres probably been a ton of people that have posted topics like this, but I really think this shard will be gone in less than a month. I think that ever since everyone got banned this shard has been going downhill. And staff just acts like everything is fine, as if it were the same as it was back when it was really fun to get on and go hunt or kill some people. Now everytime I log on, I either just sit at the bank wishing something fun would happen or just log off.

Lock this or not, but if staff doesn't do anything soon, Obsidian will be no longer fun or exciting as it was back in 2001-2002. Back then the serverstatus said over 200 players online. Now it says what, atleast 3-8 players on? That's no fun.

I agree with everything you say, i have never rarely commented on this subject openly during my time here but its very hard not to. Due to bugs and exploits pvp is dead, players will not log on to a shard that is bugged which is the problem why we only have 5-11 players at a time.

We cant log on and act as if everything is fine.



Take a good hard look at it staff or player. I have choosing to use this image because i find imagery hits harder then words, i dont want any flames, everyone else has tried to say whats going on and failed, so ive thought this pic will stand for what all the flames and complaints have been about.

Its just very very sad topic, and something needs to be done asap

I want everyone to get involved in this thread, i dont want to see flames or stupid witty comments, This isnt about who owns who, which guild did this. It about obsidian the place that we have come to love during its existence. We are all on the same side just in this topic, you can flame each other in any other topic but not this one....

Ive gotta agree with everything thats been said on this topic, and i think it would be great if this could be kept a nice and no flames and not have to be locked....
Like its been said in previous topics one way to get player base back up is to unban alot of people, and no i dont just mean ashes because he is my friend i mean my past enimies to because its just no fun nomore
I know just before the mass ban/multi account situation Raven seeded on a torrent for people to download obsidian within a hour, he seeded to over 45 people in the space of afew weeks and we did get alot of new players but then they seemed to die off after the mass ban.
I say we give everyone one last chance, even staff to make a new post of ALL rules that we will ALL have to go by so its not so confusing as to what you can and cant do.
Let all come together on this and spread the word of obsidian and try get obsidian back to what it was.
I know if we all put a little effort in and help out the noobs that do join we can get people to stick around, all it takes is spending 20minutes with them and answering questions about the game hell even give them the +1 +3 weaps we all store and never use, a set of iron armor and afew bandies then from there they can work there way up. We need to make people feel welcome and show them how we can acually be a friendly shard.

online.. Didn't you join in liek Sept '04, whereas there was online player
limit of 100 or 110 which got pushed to 125 IIRC in the summer of '04.

As for mass unbanning, let's not overstrech it.. Some of them were
banned for serious reasons and giving back their accounts might be a bit
too much. However, I'd agree that everyone should be allowed to re-start.

Well im sorry for trying to atleast "help" to get more players on obs. Quit being a dick and try to help instead of flame. I dont sit in my room all the time waiting for something fun to happen, i play obs when i dont have anything else to do. We're just trying to help, maybe you should to instead of flaming

well, since i started, past year (january/2006) this shard had like 50 / 40 players every time.

now it's like 5 / 10.

Although some statements are flawed in spawns post, the general concept is still very valid.
