My first suggestion is to wait, sometimes it takes up to 5 minutes to open. If that doesn't work, use ctrl-alt-del to kill the process, and retry. If that doesn't work, reinstall the microsoft .net framework, and repeat from step 1. |

move the mouse on the icon usually entitled "Obsidian"... the one that looks like a little grenade... once the cursor (cursor= the little arrow) is on it... do a double click (that's when the left button is clicked twice very quickly)... lol jk... mine is awfully slow too... have to go do something while it decides or not to load |

i might be wrong...ok i am probably wrong but i think its slowed down because it is having to load up Echo's pics of the boat battles in 'Obsidian News' http://www.dxgaming.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=17322 ? We've all seen this now maybe he could delete them or make them a little smaller or just delete some of them..orrrr he could move it to 'Quests and In-Game Events'.

anyone remeber a really long time ago, the obsidian icon wasn't purple, it was just the UO symbol, and the patcher wasn't off digital blasphemy, it was just a small grey window with *updating patcher* on it? and there was a red monkey skull messenger on your char. doll? and parties partially worked? and wait! get this one,,, PRIMAL WAS ACCUALLY GOOD! wtf,! amazing things have changed, alloooot |
