Post subject:  Shard fuk up!

so im on obs and i was casting recall on my fisher fizzled about 7 times so my mana dropped to 3/40 and i couldnt recall so i started fishing untill it climbed up to enough 2 recall again... no fish were coming out ov the water :/ so i ran 2 the dock and noticed my mana wasnt climbing back and was still at 3 i had ran so my stamina was 0/49 so i couldnt move :/ i droped a rune 2 go 2 the rc and when it got 2 down to 0 seconds it stayed like that and i wasnt going to the rc chamber :/ its still there now and saying 0 seconds and my stats have not climbed back up. Just 2 let u all no incase u think ur char is bugged or something ...i no RMX n Sppok were having simular problems x

yeah me, ray and RPH went out hunting when we realized we couldnt cast any spells at all, our mana wasnt coming back, nor stamina. runes dont work, monsters dont move, walls stay up for 20 mins, cant even hit anything. it fixed itself once but its doing it again... wtf is going on!!!!

lol it used to happen all the time dont worry BUT when it does happen walk everywhere and never run or youll be trapped for hours

Unfortunatly, that means a new way to trigger an old bug has popped up.
Luckily this is a pretty well studied bug, it's just a matter of figuring out how it's been done this time. It basically involves one square of a region to be trapped in a time loop, meaning on that one square, time passes at a rate of 20-30 times faster than normal, but everywhere else in that region, time is stopped. No regen, spells/etc, nothing will process, not even runestones. They will count down, but never hit 0

All i know is that ANOTHER BUG has showed up and thats another one for the count, which will keep adding up until all is bugged :( .

Ok so this is a little annoying i cant actually do anything because i cant go anywhere with this thing :? couldnt rc from brit so i went to haven, didnt work so i went order isle, didnt work again so i try from hyloth - still didnt work so i logged out. :x Is this following me or am i spreading it or is it the char itself or something?

You're half right regiss. For it to work the old way, it has to be triggered.
However, it doesn't neccessarily have to be done by a player.
There was a certain configuration of npc monsters on avatar isle that used to cause it the old way on accident around every 5-6 hours or so.
So assuming it's something similar to the old ways, it's probably done by someone accidentally setting up a situation and an npc keeps wandering into and out of it.
Which will make it harder for staff to track down.
Who knows, it may be some new way entirely of triggering an old bug.

And chaos-mage, was that really neccessary?
I mean seriously. This is a bug inherent in sphere 51a, not in any of obsidian's customized features, and everytime it pops up it gets fixed pretty fast.
Being as this hasn't happened in months that i've noticed, i'm betting it's just a very special circumstance that finally happened, and will be easy to fix once found.

To everyone else:

If you find any tiles in which your mana/stamina regen really fast, or you see an npc that is moving much much faster than normal and is regaining hp nonstop, please page a staff. That's usually a good indication of what's causing this.
