well...first off she is generically odd. Odd is cool, but be uniquely so. The few songs I listened to are very similar in styling, and I would be curious to see something a bit different between each song. Also, she doesn't have a good range with voice. She will always be mediocre unless she adds a bit of power. Raising her voice louder with the chorus is not considered power. I do believe that she enjoys what she is doing very much, I can tell from her face. If all she wants is short term fun than I think she should be proud. Look her up in 6-7 years and see where that group is. I am guessing the unemployment line. hopefully as she grows into womanhood her voice and attitude/musical styling will follow.

It is kinda like Canadas Avril Lavine, I personally am not a fan but her voice is growing and will have some power. With continuous vocal training she will outlast this person by years. She just has to get out of the skater punk roll and push into some deeper stuff and has to stop copying peoples stuff. ^^ Her most recent song stole the main line from an older song by The Rubinos called 'I wanna be your boyfriend". That is a bit gay, but with the Lyndsay Lohans out there it is par for the course.

For a real singer try this one...is awesome vid :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W91sqAs-_-g
or Fergie or Celine or Aretha or Bonnie Tyler or Dido or Tina Turner or Madonna or Cher or Whitney Houston and Freddy Murcury. These are good examples of female power in voice that last. Maybe someone should
take notes?

Aleksander I find it interesting that you have suggested a load of 'Obvious' choices for people that can sing well. We've all heard of them, and there is no question that they can sing.

However I always like to watch an underdog, and in a music industry saturated with clones of what was a) popular last week or b) designed by the industry it is nice to see something that, as you say, is 'generically odd'.

I personally think that the fact her voice is a little raw is a good thing. Of course, a couple of years on the road will see if her voice matures and improves and she developes the power and control to make the most of her voice.

The thing that stuck out for me, was the natural fast vibrato that appears in her voice when she pushes it hard.

Listen carefully to the "would" in "you know you would" in the first chorus.

I think that she doesnt quite have full control over that yet, particularly in terms of pitch (it can get a little flat) but I still think its an interesting trait and sets her vocals apart a little, particularly from other artists in that musical style.
